"Warmth"
Black Mass Godzilla and Minilla
Dragons of Nethera - Solar Wyvern
"Dragons with peculiar dorsal sides. Solar Wyverns fly the skies of the deserts of Nethera's south. Unlike their more sociable cousins, these wyverns live a more solitary lifestyle, only congregating when there's an abundance of their favorite food: carrion. These wyverns soar the skies above, always on the look out for a dried, shriveled carcass to feed on. What sticks out to many is their coloring. Their backs and wings are bright white, which leads scholars to believe that this helps reflect sunlight to keep the dragon from overheating. In addition it has a pair of crests above the eyes that keep the sun from blinding it. Because of their diet, Solar Wyverns are rarely hunted, but there've been stories of them targeting small children and elderly folk."

Draqgons of Nethera - Grinning Wyvern
"The cackling devils of the swamps. Grinning Wyverns are a detestable species that dwell deep within the Seething Swamps. They travel in large packs lead by matriarch. These dragons stalk their prey from the shadows before swarming and tearing their victims apart, and eating the soft organs while said victim lives. Despite their macabre hunting methods these wyverns do have a softer side. One pack was seen tending to male with a broken leg, bringing him food until it was healed. Unfortunately many will ignore these facts and continue to view these dragons as literal devils from the Abyss. These dragons are reserved for more experienced slayers and should one want to deter attack your best bet is to carry a bag of Haint Powder, a blue powder with an awful smell."
-
Dragons of Nethera - Dancing Wyvern
"Elegant wyverns of the Northlands. Dancing Wyverns are the largest of wyvern family and have the largest wingspan of any wyvern. They live in family groups consisting of the parents and their hatchlings. During the mating season, unmated males and females gather round. Females will choose a partner and they will proceed to do a mating dance in the sky, hence the name. If they manage to stay in sync they will then be mated for life. Despite their gracile looks, Dancing Wyverns can be fiercely territorrial, especially if there are eggs or hatchlings. The males of the species are even equipped with a special organ on the undersides of the throat called a 'scream sac.' For dragon slayers who are hunting after such a dragon you're best bet is to puncture the scream sac for an easier hunt."
-
Dragons of Nethera - Screecher Wyvern
"Considered to be the flying rats of the dragon world. Screecher Wyverns live off the coasts on the entire continent of Nethera. They can be seen living in small caves on the sides of cliffs where they nest and protect their young. They spend much of their time flying up and down beaches looking for any morsels to feed on whether it be fish, a whale carcass, or some unfortunate beachgoers hotdog. Unlike sopme of their larger cousins, Screecher's are harmless and at most are just a nuisance, regularly stealing fish from the markets and some will go as far as to harass fisherman for scraps. Though it is considered taboo, their meat is considered a seaside delicacy."
-
Dragons of Nethera - Maple Wyverns
"Wyverns with a rather sweet name. Maple Wyverns are an omnivorous species that mostly lean toward herbivorous. They mainly feed on berries, nuts, and roots though they will occasionally feed on carrion, fish, or small animals. They live in large family groups lead by a dominant female who leads the flock while males act as guards and looks outs for predators. They get their names from the leaf like patterns on their dorsal sides and their habit of using the dagger-like spike at the end of their tails to puncture trees and using a long tongue to lap up the sweet tree sap inside. They're a mostly harmless species and slayers tend to leave them alone. Unfortunately the wyverns love of sweets make them an easy target for poachers."
-
Dragons of Nethera - Razor Wyvern
"Wyverns with a cutting edge. Razor Wyverns can be found living on in the canopies of the Flourishing Forests. Thanks to their extremely sharp wings, they can glide through the branches while simultaneously cutting through them. Like other wyverns, Razor Wyverns are pack hunters and will surround their prey and take turns slicing and tearing their victims apart until they bleed to death or die from shock. This has led some commonfolk to call them 'Slicing Storks' because of their similar build, but make no mistake for this dragons is more dangerous than any wetland wading fowl. Beginning slayers ought to bring a few friends with them else you'll end up losing a limb or two."
-
Dragons of Nethera - Knucker
"Knuckers were and are a small, skittish species that lived in the shadows of their larger relatives. They often congregated to feed on the leftovers of large predators and even clean out said predators teeth for a little extra. Once humans started building towns and settlements on the surface after years of dwelling underground, the knuckers took to raiding garbage piles and even pantries. At first seen as a common pest, people learned to tame and eventually domesticate knuckers. Like with many other domestic animals there's a variety of knucker breeds to choose from."

Dragons of Wyveria
I was inspired by Monster Hunter Wilds to create guardian versions of the dragons of HTTYD. I made these over the course of a few months, and decided to to a megapost so enjoy!

Ghosts of Harrenhal
Back when HOTD season 2 was airing Daemon was having trippy dreams at Harrenhal and people were joking that Caraxes was having the same thing happen to him. So here's the ghosts of Balerion and Meraxes poking fun/ insulting poor Caraxes. -
Dragon Reins
I've had this in mind for a while and I finally came to drawing it, more humane dragon saddles/ reins. I know dragons have thick scales, but still nailing spikes into the sides of their necks looks painful so this is what I've come up with. For dragons with frills or spikes on their necks I imagine the reins attached to the horns on the back of the head. While dragons that lack frills or horns on their necks would have a secondary collar on the neck.
Zambee Dawgins!
This was inspired by @/sneebsnop's HTTYD Infection AU on instagram. I've been meaning to do some art of it for a while and what better time to draw it than the month of spook!
Dragon Call: The Nadder Guard and Dragonslayer's
And here we have more sigils for my AU this time representing two factions: The Nadder Guard and the Dragonslayers. Have some lore to go with them! - The Nadder Guard: The saviors of the skies. The Nadder Guard are an elite group of knights known famously for bravely riding on the backs of dragons, specifically Deadly Nadder (hence the name). The spend most of their time flying from one village to another to ensure the safety of the villagers and to take care of any problem dragons. Unlike Dragonslayer's, the Nadder Guard use non-lethal techniques to remove a problem dragon, dragon root arrows, gas bombs made from blue oleander, etc. Legend has it that originally the Nadder Guard where once a nomadic group of tribespeople who were able to learn the art of dragon taming and once road many other species of dragon, but it is debated among scholars if this is true or not. - The Dragonslayer's. The bane of dragons. Dragonslayer's are another elite group albeit with a somewhat mixed reputation. Like the Nadder Guard they deal with problem dragons, though with more lethal methods. Like mercenaries, Dragonslayer's work for coin and will kill any fire breathing beast, for a price of course. Though while not popular among adults, many young children see them as heroes who bravely fight against the ferocious beasts and many wish to join them. After a successful kill is made, the Dragonslayer's will take the body and fashion armor and weapons from it, after all it would be such a waste to let a dragon's carcass go to waste.
HTTYD AU: Dragon Call Classes
So I had an interesting idea for a HTTYD AU/ world building project I thought of at work. I've got a basic idea of a setting and what not, but all that will come later on. So for now here's the classes of the dragons that will give some clues as to what dragons you can expect to see in it. I was going to go with the classifications from the films, but I was inspired by Monster Hunter's monster icons and classification for it.
House of the Dragon: Sheepstealer
A head shot of Sheepstealer! I'm happy we got a glance of what he looked like before the season ended. Been meaning to draw this before, but I was busy with smaugust then.
Angos Agro!
Angos Agro!

A lil' dragon battle pic cause I've been wanting to draw one for a minute now. So here's one of my girl Agro battling her rival, Zygat. Been a while since I drew Zygat so it was fun to bring him back.

Note this is an AU (alternative universe) and not canon to the ASOIAF story whatsoever!

"In the year 196 AC, Daemon Blackfyre rose up against his half brother, King Daeron Targaryen II, in rebellion. He claimed that Daeron was the bastard son of his uncle Aemon the Dragon Knight and his Mother Queen Naerys and that Daemon himself was the true heir to the iron throne. Deamon had garnered the support of many minor lords and houses, but his greatest advantage was claiming a dragon. A fierce red beast he had heard of called Zygat the Cruel. Daemon rode the beast across Westeros winning several battles. King Daeron was worried now that the Blackfyre's had a dragon, but his son Prince Baelor would even the odds when he managed to claim a wild black dragon from the North, Agro. Agro was not one for fighting, especially other dragons, but there was one exception.
On the day when the Battle of the Redgrass Field commenced, Daemon rode out on Zygat toward the Targaryen loyalist army, but he was shocked when he heard a secondary pair of flapping wings. He looked and saw Prince Baelor Break Spear on Agro. Agro had originally thought she would be burning an army of men, but upon seeing Zygat, the relatively docile black she dragon went into a rage and flew toward her long time rival, intent on killing him. While the battle raged below, many men could not help but watch as for the first time in 50 years since the Dance of Dragons, dragon contended with dragon."
Smaugust Day 31: The Last Dragon
Her name is Peggy and she enjoys naps by the fire and strawberry scented candles.

The last dragon. Born in 152 AC, she was a small green female. She was small and stunted and had withered wings. She laid a clutch of five eggs, but none would hatch. She would died in the year 153 AC. And with her dragons went extinct in Westeros. And with the dragons gone, magic left the world and the winters grew colder and longer.
