So did anybody else think that Ezran would kill Callum?

It seemed like a set up, Ezran getting the Nova Blade, the one sword that could kill a startouch elf. I went into the last minutes thinking that Runaan and Rayla would both fail and Ezran would be forced to kill Callum to eliminate Aaravos.

Imagine this:

An epic last strike, the blade straight through Callum’s chest, the sun forge in the background, an example of Aaravos‘ corruption driving a literal wedge between them. The glow fading from Callum’s eyes and his body sliding, still skewered but now untethered from its controller, towards Ezran yk, since Ezran is still smaller than Callum the angle to pierce the heart would be steep only closing the distance with Aaravos’ defeat and, in turn, Callum‘s death.
