I punched a wall today and the funny thing is it really did distract me. So I did it again. And again. And again. I feel better but what's left is a swollen right hand that needs ice.

The Party

The night is a blur. You are drunk at 10pm and all around you, everyone has fun.

You don’t remember much but you do remember seeing them kiss. Wishing it were you attached to those lips, wishing you knew why he didn’t like you. Why he picked her. Why he chose tonight to do this in front of you.

You regret seeing this happen. It was a second but felt like one hundred.

Before you know it, the tears are coming and there’s no stopping you.

And you do what you do best, ignore. You ignore him and her. You pretend it never happened.
