Looking like a mythical mystery, this California Condor prepares to take off from the rolling hills of Big Sur. Though described as an endangered species comeback, the condor population is quite fragile due to frequent lead poisoning from prey shot with less bullets. #condor #bird #wildlife
Life is about balance. Be kind, but don’t let people abuse you. Trust, but don’t be deceived. Be content, but never stop improving yourself.

Huge bull painting. Many Zeus vibes.
The Cemetery for Soldiers’ Dogs is located on the grounds of Edinburgh Castle. It’s a small garden in which officer’s pet dogs and regimental mascots are buried. It has been in use since the 1840′s. It can be viewed from above but visitors are not permitted to enter.
I think of the crocodile, and how gentle they are with theyre children, they pick them up so softly with such strong jaws that for other creatures means death. They take them to the water and the babies are independent feeding and living on their own from birth, however they know they can always call on the big crocodile for help and go to it or protection.

Dua Ra!
i’ve been adding to my altars here and there, here’s sun grandpa’s updated space.
Khonsu and Flowers
Kemetic God of the Moon- He has moonflower and night-blooming water lilies.
Finally set up my altar to Bast! (Sorry the pictures aren’t great - terrible lighting in that room) I’m still looking for a cloth for it, but otherwise it’s nearly complete. Most of the items are ones I’ve had for many years:
1) Bowl from Greece with a cat on the lid 2) Various porcelain cat figurines (and one made of ash from Mt. St. Helens) 3) A wooden box which holds whiskers from almost every cat I’ve owned, as well as some feathers, stones, and other items of nature 4) A bottle of sand from Long Beach, WA 5) Clow cards - I gave her The Sand, The Song, The Silence, The Thunder, and The Firey 6) Egyptian cat statue (which has been my altar more or less for years) 7) the Bast figurine I bought a few weeks ago
Plus, my cat’s bed is right next to the altar, so the Lady will always have at least one follower around. :)

Gettin’ on the bandwagon (If 3 people can be considered a bandwagon.) I just needed to do something for fun tonight and didn’t feel like writing.
I originally tried to do it with a limited color palette, then changed my mind.
the Goddess Nut kneeling and spreading Her wings in protection; below, at left and at right, the Two Eyes. Detail from the inner coffin of Khonsu (son of Sennedjem and Iyneferti), “Servant in the Place of Righteousness and Truth (the ‘Valley of the Kings’)” during the reign of King Ramses II. Now in the Metropolitan Museum…
