My 'Berry Healthy' smoothie is one of my favorite quick and easy snacks to make myself. Not only is it a delicious, low calorie snack but it is jam packed with all kind of goodies for your body including super high amounts of vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium and calcium!
'Berry Healthy' Smoothie Recipe:
1 Handful Greens (I use Trader Joes Power to the Greens which includes baby spinach, baby kale and baby chard; but you can use any green you'd like!)
1/2 Cup Frozen Blueberries
3-5 Halved Fresh Strawberries
5 Fresh Blackberries
1/4 Cup Pomegranate Seeds
1/2 Cup Almond Milk
1 Tbsp Flax Seeds
Blend all ingredients together in a Blender or Food Extractor. I prefer to use the Nutribullet Food Extractor because it blends everything, including small things like the flax seeds! If you'd like a thicker consistency for your smoothie use less almond milk, and if you prefer a thinner consistency, you just use more! I always recommend first starting out with a smaller amount and slowly adding more until you reach your desired consistency.
If you'd like, top with frozen or fresh fruit like more pomegranate seeds or raspberries, and voilá, enjoy!
