About Me?

Hiya! So... I realized that there's little to no information about me on here. I obviously won't put super personal info but, just enough to have a general idea of who I am as a person. Also, warning, I have poor grammar and sentence structure.

So, my name is Nate and I'm an FTM Trans guy. I live in Canada (that's all I'm gonna share on where I live), and I'm currently in high school. I'm also homoflexible. Ya'll probably don't care about that but figured I'd share.

I'm out to my parents but only one of them is accepting so far. I have an older sister who's also trans, and an older brother. My sister's the oldest and I'm (clearly) the youngest. Both of my siblings have moved out of our house and I don't see them very often. My parents are divorced and both got re-married. My step dad is really transphobic and my step mom is indifferent. I don't know my mom's views as she just agrees with anything my step dad tells me but, my dad accepts me (yay dad).

I'm definitely a theatre kid and a space gay 🏳️‍🌈🌌. I'm in the choir at my school but I'm a terrible singer. I just joined 'cause I like singing. I go to an after school drama class once a week. Everyone that I'm out to there is supportive. I also do roller derby. I'm not out there but, I might come out soon.I try and draw but I'm so negative about my own artistic abilities that I never finish anything.

So that's all I can think of putting...if y'all want to know anything else about me, you could ask if you really wanna.

I noticed something when I was rewatching "fitting in". When roman sorted the sides he sorted Patton into hufflepuff and thomas pointed hufflepuff are kind hearted and Patton said "aw is that how you think of me roman?" And roman said "I mean yeah, you're the softest little puff ball we got padre" and then virgil said "well you dont have to be mean to him-" but Patton interrupted him and said "awww" because hes just so cute. But the camera pans back to virgil who is very confused as to why Patton took this as a compliment (mind that this is directly after they finally accepted anxiety) so my theory is I think the "dark" sides took the way we see compliments to offense and the way we see offenses as compliments so when virgil hears an actual compliment he is genuinely confused. Like when roman called virgil an emo nightmare and virgil thanked him, that wouldnt necessarily be considered a compliment since he called him a nightmare but if that's how things were with the "dark" sides then that's how he learned to see it. So does that mean remus would insult dee by calling him an adorable little snek boi? Or calling virgil a harmless little kitten? Or virgil calling remus a fucking nightmare and remus just tearing up with joy because of such a wonderful compliment. This is just fun to think about. Also you know how I said virgil looked confused? Well i was thinking that he thought things were really different with the "light" sides than with the others and throughout the entire video when Patton is treating virgil like a kitten and being protective over him virgil gets the same look that says "things are different with them" if you pay attention to those scenes then you might see the look I'm referring to

Yeah, I always saw that as like...if Virgil were called “soft” it WOULD be an insult, because he has to be scary--or at least able to inflict fear in Thomas--in order to do his job (see the Phases video). Being called “soft” would be tantamount to calling him weak, and at this point in his development, he hasn’t learned that there’s strength to softness, and power to being kind instead of being frightening. 

That’s what makes it so heartwarming in LNTAO, when he sings, “I did what I thought that I had to, which is bad too. I don’t have to act all tough,” and then Thomas’s realization “Sometimes love is enough.” 

Virgil doesn’t yet know in Fitting In that being soft, kind, sweet, and loving isn’t a weakness, because he’s spent his entire life believing (and perhaps being told) that it is.
