i cant say it enough. the last thing you’d want is to have a successful haul all day only to be in a store and see something you want after you have decided you’re done and think “idk, i already have a lot, it seems kinda risky. it’s probably fine tho” and get caught! only take what you truly want, don’t take every single thing you see. lyfting to see how much money you can rack up (unless your boosting) is dumb and will get you caught guaran-motherfucking-teed. remember that every item you take is one more chance that you can get caught. i’m not trying to sound like your mom but speaking from 3 years of experience: be modest with your choices and remember quality over quantity.

Fuckin full length stockings bitch. Cut the legs off them and you’re left with some lovely concealment helpers. 

The “shorts” you’ll end up with are perfect for wearing under pants/shorts/skirts for body concealment. The long “socks” can be used in so many ways. My favourite thing to do is to fold the excess fabric on them down and safety pin them to the inside of jacket sleeves/pant legs to use as a secret pocket. You could also tightly tie them around your waist/ribcage/thighs etc. for more body concealing.

ugghhh okay, i’m irrationally terrified of doing dna scams but i think i’ll try my first one with urban and see how it goes. they just dropped some amazing dresses so it’s a good time to go for it! the last time i ordered something from urban they accidentally included four different items i didn’t order along with my actual order, so i feel like they’re not very organised and efficient? also, all the negative reviews about them online concern poor customer service and lost packages with slow refunds, so it’s not like this is uncommon for them, right??

aaaa my dresses arrived and they’re all so beautiful😭😭 and they all fit perfectly!! this must be a sign from god.

the courier was meant to take a picture of the package in my open doorway as proof of receipt, but instead they uploaded a picture of a random package in their car? plus the gps screenshot at the time of receipt places them down the road from me. this should make doing a dna more likely to work imo. the website says to wait three days before complaining of a missing package. i’m not sure if i should wait or if i should complain now and get the ball rolling. it’s been a day since the package arrived. hmmmmmmn

1) sensormatic tag: don’t know the exact tag name but ik that’s a sensormatic and that one requires a hook.

6 & 7) gator: magnet or rubber band/hair tie

**an easy way to remember types of tags and removal is this:

•the more rectangular, thin, vertical ones are pencil tags

•the ones that are flat and rectangular with a small hole on the side and are curved are for hooks

•dome shaped tags and square shaped tags and tags with those bumps on them are for magnets. They’re magnetic and held together with a pin that the magnet pulls off

•those ugly yellow ones that have the little pyramids are gator tags and require bands of some sort and a magnet helps

•most ink tags (not pictured in this post but will say ink tag and be clear and have visible ink in them usually) require magnets but sometimes bands

The first few are weird mutant shapes and not quite pencil or dome but the brand is sensormatic and their tags always require a hook or magnet

Here are some tips (as always these are location specific to the place I personally worked)

THERE ARE NO CAMERAS. 👏🏻👏🏻

Things are only tagged if they’re over $20

They use hook tags, so you’ll need a hook if you plan on detaging anything.

There is ONE person who opens the store in the morning. The next staff doesn’t come in for a full on hour. And they’re usually hella busy trying to get morning paperwork done to notice shit.

If you’re young and you’re trying stuff on, they do count in fitting rooms but there’s literally no place to hang anything once you’re done so if you leave it all in the room, they won’t notice shit and won’t even count it.

STĘÄL ALL THE NON CLOTHING ITEMS and if you leave packaging, thats okay because we would use the packaging to damage out our stolen items (basically we wouldn’t get in trouble for those because they were “damaged” and anything marked that way gets thrown literally in the TRASH”)

Honestly it’s one of the easiest places to lïft from.

IM SO FUCKING PISSED AND SCARED

I was off last night and I decided to go into my store anyway because one of my favorite vendors was there are people from 💄👑 are fucking great I aways get free stuff from them. I had gone to tjm@x and there was a cat eye too faced pallete that I lifted there. This lady followed me in her car across town and bursted into my main store and she is this stupid white soccer mom with like 8000 kids in tow. She literally yells “THERE SHE IS OFFICER THATS THE SHOPLIFTER!!!!!” Pointing at me. The officer then stares at her then me. His name is Jacob and he starts laughing i’ve known Jacob probably about three years now he is the cop that patrols my strip mall. Now this bitch grabs my purse and we start having a tug of war and my medication that I filled earlier in the day goes flying out since it’s ADHD medicine it has a pretty high street value she then accuse me of being a drug dealer at this point my face is red and I’m crying my medication is extremely expensive because like I’ve said in a former post I don’t have insurance. At this point the cops were called and I’m bawling my eyes out and my coworkers and customers in the stores were staring at me I’m so embarrassed thank God I emptied the pallet into my car I had to call my psychiatrist and my pharmacy and they won’t fill it even though what happened I’m so angry I want to die. I had to talk to a lawyer today and I’m going to press charges with the stupid bitch I don’t care if she has 8 billion kids I’m taking her to court I hate people like this. I haven’t been able to find my medication bottle and we can’t find it on Camera I think a customer might have taken it I’m so embarrassed am I doing the right thing by taking her to court?

Story time. When I first started getting good at lifting I went to Sephor@ to get some pallets. I grabbed one and walked over to my blind spot but other people were there and wouldn’t leave, so I set it down and browsed a while longer then left. I got outside, to my car, and was driving away when a lady that had been in my blind spot came out dragging the mall security guard and started yelling that I stole the pallet and wouldn’t let me leave. So I got out of my car to talk to the security guard and since I didn’t steal anything that time (and had nothing else in my bag or car) I offered to show him so it wouldn’t be an issue. (my dad is a cop & he knows I lift so he always told me to offer up proof I didn’t do anything if I could bc it makes me less suspicious for the next time). The lady shoved me out of the way knocking me down & dislocating my shoulder in the process and throwing my purse across the parking lot and jumped in my car searching through it. After she threw my purse my meds (Xanax and oxycodone) went missing. I got the real cops involved and pressed charges against her and sued her. In the end she had to pay for all my medical bills and therapy sessions, as well as for the meds that went missing and for “pain and suffering” and missed wages bc I was out of work so much for my injury and court dates. She also was found guilty for assault, and felony larceny bc my meds cost over 1500$ at that time. My lawyer said a known friend of hers was caught with the meds but they couldn’t prove they were working together to get them. If they could’ve she would’ve been charged with possession and possession with intent to sell.

When it was all said and done she ended up paying out over 10,000$ and had to serve time. Its well worth it it take her to court and taker her for all she’s worth.

You’re pretty screwed. While not every retailer is this unscrupulous, and many do not monitor fitting rooms, be cautious and always assume you’re being watched.

Think you are being monitored? If you don’t have any cell reception in the fitting rooms, it’s likely there are hidden cameras nearby. The most popular way to hide hidden cameras is behind a two-way mirror, like this one here.

TWO WAY MIRROR TESTS

Get up close and personal. Two-way mirrors work when the room with the mirror side is brightly lit, and the other side of the mirror is kept in the dark. Block out the light with your hands and peek into the mirror. See nothing? Regular mirror. If not, its a two-way.

Light it up. Hold the flashlight on your phone up against the glass and see if you can see anything other than your reflection, like a camera.

Finger test. When touching a real mirror, there is always a little gap between your finger and the reflection — this is an indication of a real mirror. However, if your finger and it’s reflection are actually touching, then it is probably a two-way mirror.

YALL WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT I JUST FOUND! So I lifted these pills from Walmart like about 2 months ago and just this morning I realized there was this little package in it with a security tag INSIDE! Now that I look back on it I do remember the towers beeping when we walked out. But my partner was with me and she also lifted some things and we walked out with other people too so when the towers beeped I dead ass thought it wasn’t me. A worker lady started calling and making sounds but I just kept walking bc there was no way the pills made the towers beep, I checked the entire bottle and it had no tags? WRONG! Boy was I wrong, the tag was IN the bottle this whole time. So PLEASE thoroughly check your items before walking out those towers bc I got lucky this time but next time you might not be! i think the message is actually pretty nice. you obviously don’t know much about the l1fting community because it’s literally just all for safety, and people that don’t follow the basic ‘rules’ clearly are either not real l1fters or don’t care about the safety of other l1fters that don’t belong in the community. the steps to participate are pretty easy so it’s not that big of an ask. also, i block them if they don’t do it so i don’t think they’re going to be “coming after me”.
