I hc that Shane lowkey has beef with leftovers that have been sitting out so when they host things like cook outs or their kids’ bday parties when they have kids Ilya always makes it his mission to leave as little left over as possible hence him ending every get together full as fuck purely because Shane will just throw everything away because he’s convinced it’s going to poison them or the children if it’s more than 12 hours old😭 he tends to overeat at events that they’re not hosting too just because it’s there, so much so that everyone jokes there’s not gonna be leftovers when Roz is around 😭 Ilya also realizes the more he eats the quicker Shane will clean up after everyone goes home so he can give his husband’s belly the attention it deserves 😌

I see Shane as a more private eater that eats the most when he’s alone, or just with Ilya, but he’s significantly less likely to overdo it in front of others. He’s eventually more comfortable with it as he gains weight but over all he tends to eat the most either by himself or with just Ilya.

Ilya on the other hand I see as being a huge foodie he just wants to try everything and if it’s good he doesn’t want just a taste, he’ll clean his plate 😙 which leads to a lot of dinners out with friends where he orders enough food for the table just for himself because he wants to try everything and then just because it’s there he ends up finishing it(bonus points if Shane jokes that he’s gonna have to either roll Ilya out of the restaurant or help him out of the booth if they’re sitting in one🤑) he also eats a lot by himself but he def goes all out when it comes to social situations with food

I feel like they both would have their appetites affected by emotions but in different ways! When Shane is sad he tends to not be very hungry and will seek out Ilya to help him eat when he’s sad and it always makes Ilya emotional because Shane isn’t just letting himself go hungry like he had in the past😌 he is a stress eater tho(hello post outing snickers bar) when he’s stressed and it wakes him up at night, Ilya can always count on him in the kitchen raiding the snack cabinet. He’s also gotten into the habit of happy eating too, it just makes him happier when he’s sharing something delicious with his husband🙂‍↕️ as for Ilya I feel like he’s an every emotion eater besides when he’s truly angry but if he’s sad, it makes him smile when Shane presses a snack into his hands, he’s stressed, he’s at a drive thru, he’s happy, he’s baking for Shane and sampling everything 😁
