Aging is *literally* the process of your body breaking down like an ancient and damaged machine. It's the epitome of the REAL definition of "degeneration" and people act like it's some sort of "beautiful natural process" no bitch it's literally a disease. It's a built-in kill switch your body has and science has proven this kill switch can be turned off with the right treatments.
Same goes for death itself. "Natural" body death can also be stopped with the right treatments - in fact, there's a lot of overlap between anti-aging treatments that could exist in the next couple decades and the anti-death treatments that could show up in a similar amount of time.
Ok I guess. But it happens to everyone, it’s inevitable, and trying to stop it only cause self-hate. Might as well embrace it
Can people actually fucking do some research before replying with dumbass shit like this? Seriously HOW ARE YOU THIS MOTHERFRUCKING STUPID?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

it’s really sad to see how feminism has become a joke in academia. using a feminist approach in your work is rarely taken seriously. a feminist lens is perceived either as trivializing of the work at hand, or as an intentional misunderstanding of it, because you are viewed as some kind of bitter, childish feminist that cannot comprehend the works true meaning through the blinders of your whiny man-hating. perhaps this isn’t the case at all universities, but in my experience as a student i have found that a feminist lens is often seen as a cheap or easy way out of more “productive” analysis. the lens of queer theory, a supposedly a more productive angle, is seen as inherently more intellectual and complex. and yet, i find this approach often complicates (or “queers”) things to an unnecessary extent, often to the point that the analysis seemingly renders the work meaningless—whereas feminism is much more useful for actually drawing conclusions.
I attended a seminar two months ago where a "queer history academic" dismissed women's studies as "studying women as a group in a way that associates women with a passive and victim role", whereas queer studies was presented as "analyzing the way gender and male-female relations are constructed and evolved throughout history", so nowadays it's better to do queer studies than women's studies because the latter are outdated, too militant and not intellectual enough...
Last month I did a presentation saying I was studying a female population and as such I would take on a feminist lens... I was then asked by a PhD candidate "are you sure this is the way you want to go? I think you are dismissing the importance of queer studies. You should address issues like non binary and trans identities in your work"
My work focuses on women in Nazi concentration camps...
I'm in western Europe
It's always funny to me when someone's like Americans suck Americans are so weird and I'm like yeah buddy you'll get no argument from me and then they go on to be like "ew they SMILE at you on the BUS" or "they say THANK YOU TOO MUCH at restaurants" and I'm like wait hang on thats what you're going with???? We do WAY worse stuff than that dude like are you sure that's your final answer
Oh exactly
I think it oughta be addressed more than porn isn't the only form of media that culturally conditions people to find violence against women sexy (I say people instead of men because this also plays a role in women being aroused by being brutalized as well as conditioning men to find violence against women sexy)
And one of the main forms of media guilty of this is a lot of violent media includes sexualized violence against women. It's important to note the difference between sexual violence and sexualized violence. Sexual violence is another way of saying sexual assault, but sexualized violence is when media makes violence against women sexy such as by having a mostly or in some cases completely nude young and conventionally attractive woman gored with a machete or something of that nature. A lot of older slasher films from the 70's and 80's are especially guilty of this. And a lot of violent video games predominantly marketed towards men also tend to include heavily sexualized violence against women, especially older games.
It's more prominent in older forms of media, arguably the reason it was so popular in the 70's and 80's was a cultural backlash to second wave feminism and men having revenge fantasies against women's growing power and independence in society. But newer media coming out today and in recent years still has it. I had to stop watching Netflix's Love, Death, + Robots because there was so much sexualized violence against women in it. And the new horror movie about Winnie the Pooh "Blood and Honey" that's coming out this year also features gorey violence against sexually objectified bikini clad women. And of course arguably the most popular show of our time, Game of Thrones, is just littered with sexualized and gazey scenes of women being assaulted.
And the thing is ofc mainstream libfems are quiet about this and gleefully promote this media as cool and fun without mentioning the misogyny of the sexualized violence it contains.
Goes to show even if you avoid porn our culture is still shoving the sexualization of violence against women at us from so many angles. Is it even possible to avoid if it's in so many of the most popular shows, movies, and video games? How can parents raise children without them being sexually conditioned to be aroused by violence against women when it's everywhere even if you can keep porn away from your kid?

i’m sorry but what’s so crazy about thinking teens identify as trans/non-binary because it’s trendy? we’ve already seen the same thing happen with depression back in 2012-2014 on tumblr, a lot of people were faking it because it made them seem like manic pixie dream girls or whatever. what makes you think today’s teens are somehow more mature, self aware and not seeking ways to be special and unique?
