Lembas bread to help you recuperate from all the tears you shed at The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
"The cakes will keep sweet for many many days, if they are unbroken and left in their leaf-wrappings, as we have brought them. One will keep a traveler on his feet for a day of long labour, even if he be one of the tall men of Minas Tirith." -J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
Holy Hexenbeast!
NOT MONROE, PLEASE. I ALREADY LOST OLIVER QUEEN THIS WEEK. Also, does this mean there are more Wesen in the Portland Police Department?!
So damn close, Wu. Maybe you'll figure it out after your next stint in the psych ward.
If only...
Chills every time I watch this. And it's been, like, several thousand times.
Sheesh, Grimm.
Damn #grimm, orientalism much? You can do better. The Indian Wesen gotta be the ones chanting to idols and shit. Smh. Gonna go play some COD to make myself feel better. Having Nick back should have done that already, assholes.
Dumbldalf binged out on the first 7 episodes of How To Get Away With Murder last night. This scene in episode 4 of Viola Davis taking her makeup and wig off was the most powerful scene I've seen on TV in recent memory. But seeing as a Sith deals in absolutes, I'm going to go ahead and say the most powerful TV scene OF ALL TIME! Definitely on ABC... the Lost ending didn't cut it. And this is excluding the whole "I'm the one who knocks" BB scene, that's an unfair comparison.
New Captain America!
"It is dull, Son of Adam, to drink without eating," said the Queen presently. "What would you like best to eat?"
"Turkish Delight, please, your Majesty," said Edmund.
~ The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
I’ve been looking (passively) for Turkish delight since I was 5 and my mom read Doctor Serenity and me this classic. Was it good enough to turn me to the dark side? Hard to say, as I already had the propensity to align myself with Magneto.
Here’s a bit more skin-tingling text from Lewis, for the sake of nostalgia:
"I say," began Edmund presently, "oughtn’t we to be bearing a bit more to the left, that is, if we are aiming for the lamppost?" He had forgotten for the moment he must pretend never to have been in the wood before. The moment the words were out of his mouth he realized that he had given himself away. Everyone stopped; everyone stared at him. Peter whistled.
You know how this works.
Tomorrow, Doctor Serenity will be on the hunt for the hero Chicago needs.
