Rules Are As Follows:

Please be nice. I haven’t written in a long time, so it might take me a bit to get back into the swing of things.

That being said, I can sometimes go days/weeks without the will to reply. That’s nothing to do with you, I just work retail and have strange schedules and limited free time. Pls wait for me if you’re willing. Frequently, I reply as I see them if there’s enough time.

I likely won’t try to match your length, so you don’t have to match mine. We can do script or paragraph - I don’t mind either.

I do NSFW stuff! This means horror and gore as well as the typically assumed sensual stuff. Because you shouldn’t be here if you’re not 18, there should be no issue as long as everything is consensual.

Please don’t god-mod. I barely have any control of my characters at any given time, I don’t need anyone else in the driver’s seat with me. I won’t do it to you, either.

OCs are just as welcome as canon characters. Love you, you funky little weirdos.

About shipping: I don't ship unless I think there's chemistry between the characters and I'm comfortable with the mun outside of threads. But this is a multi-ship friendly blog, and any relationship Ryuuji has is confined to the interactions between him and the other character unless otherwise specified.

My name is Ash, and I’m [age over 22 and under 30]. I’m a dude. I’ve been RPing in general for many years, and most of my experience is with Naruto RP and KRP. So if my replies or formatting seem a little strange (or familiar?), that’d be why.

I work a day job and am also an artist on the side, but none of it has to do with Yu-Gi-Oh!. A lot of the art has to do with Genshin Impact and if you’re interested in that, just hit me up. Generally, About the Verse:

This Ryuuji is anime-influenced but exists post-DSOD with the manga backstory, so everything up until the movie is mostly-canon stuff one way or the other.

However, I’m going to be playing Ryuuji the way that I would like to. He may end up differing from the canon Ryuuji/Duke from time to time.

He still works at his father’s cafe part time, and still gets royalties from Dungeon Dice Monsters sales via Industrial Illusions. His hobbies do still involve a lot of game-playing and development, but he’s not much of a duelist.

*Ryuuji is AFAB. He will not hold your hand to explain. Don’t like it? Move along.

“Then you should definitely find a way to get me to stay, then.” She wasn’t all that impressed with what he had to offer so far, but if he could convince her then maybe she’d stay.

“I’d say the thrill of the game should be enough to keep you interested, but I guess we differ there.”

Ryuuji smiles regardless, leaning back in his chair to survey the situation. The game itself may not be appealing to her, but they could spice it up a little.

“If you like, we could have a little wager...”

But what should the prize be? Money? He doesn’t have much cash in his wallet - he carries card, mostly. Some sort of prize? His pockets are empty. Favors, he could do...

“Just depends on what you want to get out of it.”

Kaiba slowly dragged his eyes up to look at Otogi with an exasperated look before making a vague gesture at the dice he just rolled.

“Sure, if by ‘fun’ you mean this makes me want to rip my hair out. This is why I don’t like luck cards in Duel Monsters.”

Bad roll? Very bad roll. He didn’t want to dwell on it.

“The grisly results is disproportionately occurring to me. Karma had better catch up to you.”

Ryuuji can’t help the grin that graces his face.

Something about toying with the sour billionaire is just too fun. He hasn’t really gotten the chance to do so before - there have always been bigger things going on when they’re in a room together. The fact that he’d gotten this get-together scheduled at all was a miracle.

And so very worth it.

“Oh, I don’t think so. Lady Luck has always been kind to me.” He twirls a strand of hair around his index finger. “What can I say? I guess I’m just that good.”

With his free hand, he picks up three more dice, and then tosses them at the table. Two level two summons! And he still has plenty of space. 

He dimensions Dark Eye Stalker, and looks back to Seto.

“C’mon, Kaiba. You’re like the second best duelist in the world or something, right?” He smirks. “I know you can give me a challenge.”

Kisara dared not answer the question, she couldn’t tell him about the monsters she saw. No one ever believed her no matter how often she told them. Why could no one else see them?

White hair sticks together in wet straggly strands. Occasionally she shivers as they walk. Maybe she should run on ahead without him, he probably had other things better to do then hang around with a kid.

His question is met with silence, which he’d half-expected. She’s a quiet kid, it makes sense. To be fair, he’s still basically a stranger. She’s right to keep him at a bit of a distance.

“I was just on my way home from work - from that cafe I told you about! That’s why I was so grumpy earlier.” He grins, but mentioning work has got his body remembering how tired he really is. “Otogi Cafe! That’s the name.”

His dad had been real creative with that one.

The rain is fizzling out at this point - only a little misting here and there now. Thank god. Ryuuji stretches out his arms as they keep moving, popping a vertebrae back into place, and then starts shaking his hands to try and dry off a little. 

They come to a corner, where they can keep straight or make a right.

“Okay, Captain. You know which way?”

As the smaller man was touched, his back arched.  He leaned back into Ryuuji, head falling to the side, offering the dragon more space to give affection.  A soft shuttering breath escaped him as the other muttered against his skin.  

“Yes, I think that may be for the best.” He straightened up, and began to pull off his cloak.  “After all, there will be plenty of time after for anything else.”   It was obvious they were both very eager, and Diva was happy to get the show on the road.

He pulls back just enough to allow Diva room to begin peeling off layers. He helps with the man’s coat, sliding it down and removing it from his arms.

As he takes it, he begins to gently step forward, guiding them both towards the bedroom. He drapes the coat over the back of the couch on the way past, and then his hands find their way under the other man’s shirt.

“Let’s go, then.”

Ack, try not to think about all the many layers of uncertainty there!

“Pfft, it’s not a snoozefest but it sure is something wild. Everything is pretty historical to feudal times–except for a bit of an undead outbreak that some of the famous warlords of history have to face. I… yeah I have no idea how it got greenlit, but hey I’m not there to manage the story! But at the very least it’s fun to watch people fight zombies!”

Man, it only sounded weirder upon saying it aloud.

“But I can get you a ticket at will call if that’s not too weird for you!”

Always tough to break out into acting. He wonders if Mokuba sought it out, or if he truly just fell into it and decided to run with it. That would be interesting, considering their previous conversation. Either way, it’s incredibly respectable.

“Oh, damn! That actually sounds rad!” He grins. “Like a video game translated to the stage. That’s a possibility I didn’t know could be realized. Guess I shouldn’t be so surprised, though - people are wild. Writers and creators, especially.”

He reaches into a pocket, produces his phone. He opens his calendar.

“I cannot miss this. Give me the date, and I’ll be there.” He’s a man of his word... most of the time. And you never turn down a free ticket. “Gotta support the arts, after all. It’ll be fun to see you up there.”

Skin Here is the largest organ, seemingly unimportant and forgotten in favour of larger meatier cuts of flesh, but it is living and breathing but wholly on the outside. You feel everything so much all the time. You wear everything on the outside, nothing about you is restrained or held back, authentic and truthful, even to a fault, even revealing all the ugly parts you can’t cover. The blows and injuries you take cannot be hidden, so be cautious. Always remember scars do not heal, they can only fade.

“Oh look, you get it. Yet at what cost Duke, my pretty pretty one.” He purred before deciding to hand the crystal over. Yet the moment he hands it over a darkness starts leeching onto his arm creating what looks like shackles upon his wrists. “Did you really think you could just gamble with me and it not be a life or death scenario should I lose?” His eyes were bright with a violet light. “You have fallen right into the trap my pretty one and now you will suffer for rolling the dice as such.”  Mortals should never really touch things inflicted with dark magic without something to protect them.  The darkness is already trying to take Duke over, take his soul over and turn him into one of Bakura’s pawns. If he breaks the crystal and fast mind you he could escape this fate. One must remember their own light in order to cast out the darkness back to where it belongs. Yet the one who is supposed to do this better act fast. Time if of the essence and he does not have much left before it will proceed to do an entire takeover. 

Ooooh. Oh boy. Oh shit.

Ryuuji takes a step back, then another. And that’s about as far as he can go before he meets more darkness. It creeps in from every corner of the room; writhing, squirming.

His brief moment of relief is immediately overtaken by terror once more as he sees it spreading from the stone, eating its way up his hand. It feels like ice. He almost screams. But he doesn’t. His jaw clenches.

“You know,” he says, because he talks too much when he’s in trouble, “I did kind of figure you’d pull something.”

Stupid. He’s so, so stupid. He’s been told that a million times. Before now, he hadn’t really put any stock into it. But maybe the people that called him an idiot were right. He really shouldn’t have started messing with this magic shit.

The shadows start to solidify around his wrists.

...Actually, no. He might be a fool, but at least he’s not a coward. He showed up, he’s put in the work. He’s trying. How many other people can say that? If he goes out trying to stop a little more evil from worming its way into the world, he’s going to consider that a win.

“But I’m not your pretty. Even if you end up takin’ my soul.”

His fist clenches involuntarily around the crystal. He forces his palm open, drops it.

He’s had just about enough of this fucking rock.

He lifts a boot - 

“Anyone ever tell you you’re a sore loser?”

 - and then brings it down as hard as he can.

“S–Seventy…” Nope, nuh-uh that wasn’t near enough! “Ack! I could never.”

Mokuba’s focus on pulling out of the culture shock of the vast differences of how they lived their lives make him not notice the light punch. Dragging his mind away from it, his hand rakes through his hair.

“Ha, well, not quite sunny California or something like that. Actually, I’m gonna be helping out with a local smaller play that’s coming up. Historical, so some traditional outfits and all that.”

Which was his least favorite, trying to stay within historical accuracy was hard!

“Okay - I might be exaggerating a little bit,” he admits, another chuckle escaping, “But the point stands. Sometimes it’s good to let go a little. I get it though: it’s not for everyone all of the time. You do you, man. If that means mapping out your next ten steps, that’s the way to do it.”

“Play, huh? Didn’t figure you were the thespian type! That’s pretty cool, actually.”

Ryuuji smiles. He’s been on TV before, but he’s never done any serious acting. The most that he’s ever done in the way of that kind of thing... probably the cutthroat persona he puts on in competitions. Yeah, he loves to win and he’s going to do his best to achieve that. But he’s not going to actively attack anyone if he finds himself on the losing side.

“If it’s not too much of a snoozefest, I’d love to catch a performance.”
