ryan’s first response is no
any question of you getting hurt
the days where you get to visit ryan on set were special
and often few and far between
so the guys wanted you to make the most of your time with him
so they thought it’d be a great idea to have you involved in a stunt
and it just so happened that they were filming barrel surfing today
so when you hear johnny ask
‘wanna get up there, y/n?’
‘what’s the worst that could happen?!’
‘you want me to show you again? i just smashed my face into the board.’
‘then i’ll just make sure i do it right.’
you’ll be the death of ryan
but he gets to see what it’s been like to be you since you were young
on the sideline anxiously waiting for the outcome of a stunt which never looked like it could work
he’s trying his best to talk you out of it
because baby boy is nervous about you getting hurt
he’ll do anything to make you laugh but he’s not about you hurting so other people can laugh
‘you know you could just watch bam eat shit instead of trying it yourself.’
‘i’ve been watching that as long as i’ve known you.’
very touchy when he’s nervous
so he’s got his hands on your hips as he stands behind you whilst bam tries it for the third time
‘you know i’m gonna be fine.’
‘well, i don’t like that maybe you won’t be.’
you spin around so you’re facing him
and you use one of his tactics when you’re worried about one of his stunts
kissing is a great distraction
the greatest distraction, in fact
because his mind is entirely somewhere else when jeff calls out that they’re ready for you
you can tell ryan is expecting the worst
but you have pretty good balance
and you’re learning from the other guys mistakes
ryan’s concern isn’t going unnoticed by everyone else
and rick makes sure he’s got a close up of his face because he looks so worried it’s actually cute
and you’re thankful to rick
because you have the forever shot of ryan’s face turning from pure fear to joy when you not only make it onto the barrels safely
but also get onto your feet and manage to jump off and stick the landing
then he’s cheering louder than anyone
