Yet another real-life evidence for why the weight and agility arguments against wearing full armor are laughable.

I imagine sword fights would have been a dreadfully dull affair if armor was as heavy as many people have been led to believe it was.

For those interested in the realities of armor, Dirk H. Breiding, Assitant Curator, Department of Arms and Armor, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, did a great talk on the misconceptions vs realities of medieval armors.  

He’s approaching it from the point of view of historian and preservationist so it’s a little dry in places but is a great discussion of misconceptions and includes so additional demonstrations of how a warrior can move in plate armor.

So the armor thing is really interesting, but mostly I’m just wondering how white tabard managed to piss off people so badly that someone came barging into his sparring match to kick him in the head.

Not a sparring match its bohurt 5v5 fight. These guys are polish national fighters.
