Fundraisers for Gaza keep needing money, and it's pretty horrifying how little families are getting for their time spent asking for donations. With the famine as it is, and the opening of the Rafah crossing still just a rumor, these people need donations.
Sami's campaign in particular is struggling to gain traction. This is a big family, with a lot of children and old parents, currently sitting at under 1/10th of its $30,000 goal. Thank you all for your incredible generosity. As most of you know, aid into Gaza has been severly limited, making the prices of even the simplest things like flour astronomically expensive. Because of this, majority of the funds raised have been used to stave off starvation as famine sweeps through beseiged Gaza. There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon: there is a possibility of the Rafah crossing reopening, meaning people can evacuate once more. It is Mahmoud's greatest wish to evacuate his family, especially his parents as soon possible, and because of this, we've increased the goal amount in hopes of collecting enough money to evacuate the Balousha family. Previously it cost nearly $10,000 to evacuate one person. The new evacuation cost is to be seen. Please donate if you can to help this family escape from this war.

She has two sons, Yamen and Qusai, and a daughter who was born shortly after the beginning of this latest series of attacks by Israel, who has never seen a moment of peace. Her name is Mira.
Shortly before October 7th, Ola's husband left for Egypt in order to pick up some medicine. He has been unable to get back to his family, they have been separated for over a year due to this conflict.
Ola and her children have been displaced more than 8 times, traveling from place to place in Gaza. They need your help.

marah @freepaleatine95 is a young woman in gaza and she and her family need our help. marah was studying computer science before the occupation destroyed her dreams, and now she is displaced in a flimsy shelter with her family, where they struggle to provide themselves with even basic necessities.

i’ve been thinking about innocuous photos like the one on the left. because it is my job to neglect the sprouts of imperialism and racism that accompanied my upbringing, i've been attempting to find solidarity even in the innocuous. and how easily it comes: marah and i, both schoolgirls who like cute things, both compelled by the desire to photograph our supplies after arranging them to be just-so. the photo on the right is an old one of mine.

i think the answer would be “everything.” maybe you’re united by the love you have for your pets, being fans of the same goth rock band, or the fact that, were something of severity to happen to your family, you’d also be online, asking for help in a way your elders might find it hard to wrap their heads around, and making sure people knew they could trust your campaign.
and if this were a message you were sending, i hope that your hope would remain in tact, because people like us, on the other end, would be doing everything they could to help you.

Yazan, my dear nephew, was always a symbol of courage and joy in our family. Since childhood, he loved to wear his elegant blue suit, always made sure his hair was neatly styled, and smiled at the world as if to tell us that tomorrow would be better. On the day of a family member's wedding, Yazan stood proudly beside us, radiating happiness, sharing his smiles with everyone, as if he knew that these moments would be among the last memories we would have of him. Just a few days later, in a merciless airstrike, we lost Yazan. He left us while dreaming of a tomorrow filled with peace and joy, leaving behind a void and indescribable pain.

As for Suheir, my beloved niece, she is the sun that rises in our lives every day. Suheir is still with us, full of life and hope, dreaming of wearing her white dress on her special day and living a life filled with joy and success. Despite the harsh circumstances, Suheir carries the spirit of childhood and is the source of hope that we cling to amidst all this pain. Every time I see her, I feel that life still offers us a chance to witness its beauty and happiness.
We lost Yazan, but we thank God that Suheir is still with us. She is a symbol of hope and resilience.
