redrew a concept from 2024

New TMA OC design. Here’s Rout, an avatar of the slaughter.

I wanted to do a manifestation of war, one that wasn’t just a symbol that appeared during like the piper—but rather an active participant, a harbinger.

Rout is not meant to be any one military, nation, war, but rather an overall representation of the fear of it, nothing distinct in their design is meant to point any one which way but give the overall appearance of any and all turmoil. The only label or insignia on its attire is a transformed United Nations symbol, instead of sporting a grid with the nations it is turned to a target, implying the world as a whole is all one target and all the same to it. The olive branches representing peace are kept in tact on the logo. Uniform wise there is no specific inspiration from any nation, and the top of their coat is inspired by that of marching bands, a universal coat, tying in the music aspect of the slaughter

Theres several other symbols of peace scattered around the design aswell, spikes reminiscent to the statue of liberty can be seen hanging upside down on the back of the head, and tattered white flags wrapped around the arms like bandages hang from its coat arms. All of these peace symbols are topped by chains wrapped around Rout’s designs, keeping them symbolically shackled.

There are two notable details about their back view. As pointed out on the sheet the silhouette as a whole is meant to look like the arial view of a war plane. Other than that theres an extra flap which consists of dynamite sticks all tied together, which both aid the silhouette and also resemble a spine or vertebrae.

I do have some details of how rout appears to people, though nothing concrete and this post is already long enough whoopsies!!
