Hello, and welcome to my little grotto on this side of the internet. I'm Moss (or Ren), your not-so-local cryptid from the mountain forests. I'm an aspiring artist, writer, and animator who currently has two main projects in the works: The Nature of Uncertainty and In the Reeds. My primary interests are nature, the mountains, mythology, cryptids, dragons, and older/older styled films and novels. Some of my favorite pieces of media include Slay the Princess, Scarlet Hollow, Wings of Fire, and Studio Ghibli movies. I also love to talk about my characters and all the fandoms listed above (specifically Slay the Princess and Wings of Fire), so please feel free to send me a note!

The Nature of Uncertainty [TNoU]: This series is split into three Acts: “To Fear the Heart,” “To Deny the Mind,” and “To Search the Soul.” Each of these acts focuses on a different aspect of change, and how one's experiences, circumstances, and beliefs lead one to handle sudden twists of fate. This has been a passion project of mine for over five years as of now, and I would love for you all to check it out! Unfortunately I recently had all of my written work for this series deleted due to an automatic Windows update, so it will be a while before actual progress gets made. In The Reeds [ITR]: A single-novel story that follows the travels of four dragons— Rin Fahey, Quasar Rivak, Mura Seoren, and Kinorei Fuerkal— as they learn to put aside their differences and help each other learn and grow to be better dragons in their time together. This is a much slower paced story, written mostly due to personal experience and as a way to express my love for the mountains and Studio Ghibli's films. There is no big bad, no high stakes, no life-or-death scenarios. This story is about the little things, and I would love for you to give it a chance. Status: Worldbuilding
Of Sound Mind [OSM]: A Wings of Fire AU that takes place two years after the events of Flames of Hope. The story follows Neptune— an IceWing nomad— as he gets roped into the lives of multiple other misfit dragons, along with a growing conflict between HiveWing refugees and a newly forming cult of SkyWings and SandWings. The context and history of the canon Arcs 1-3 have been altered in this AU. No content from Arc 4 is included/relevant to this story, so any contradictions should be ignored. Status: On Hold
Maladies of the Wanderlust [MotW]: A side story within the same AU as OSM, this story takes place a year after the events of Flames of Hope and follows the stories of a small group of dragons brought together by their misfortune. This is more of a “comfy” story that I work on to relax, but unlike In The Reeds, it doesn't really have any story. Moreso a slice of life with a small group of travelers. The context and history of the canon Arcs 1-3 have been altered in this AU. No content from Arc 4 is included/relevant to this story, so any contradictions should be ignored. Status: On Hold
