You’ve done well finding me, traveller. Only the bravest(or stupidest) adventurers would dare cross the Great Western Desert and the Wyrmmounts(where dragons still live) and make your way here through the West Marches. It’s a beautiful spot, is it not? Anyway, I shall introduce myself.
Many names have been ascribed to me, and I take them each into myself: Edmund, Allistair, Bridget, Cecilia, Claude, Elise, Ferdinand, Hilda, Maya, Sergei, and my secret name, Tubal-Cain. Any pronouns are fine, I have spent so long alone that gender barely matters—especially now I’ve discovered how to make it a fluid.
You wish to browse the tomes? Your wish is my command! For video games(new fangled technology I am quite fond of) we have: UNDERTALE/deltarune, Hollow Knight, Minecraft, Terraria, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Kirby, Chrono Trigger, Octopath Traveller, and Iron Lung.
On this shelf, the books of spells and stories, we have: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The complete works of H.P Lovecraft, The Lord of the Rings, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dracula, Frankenstein(Or, the Modern Prometheus), A Wizard of Earthsea.
Films, also a new technology—what do you mean they’ve been around a hundred years? In any case, I present: Jurassic Park, Iron Lung, The Princess Bride, Columbo, Blackadder, Assassins, and Dropout.tv(Samuel Reich, he knows it not but I have been subtly giving him magic powers, soon he may discover them).
On the radio? Why that is Welcome to Night Vale, listen to that “Cecil’s” sonorous voice… I am getting off track. You wish for a game? Dungeons and Dragons or Call of Cthulhu? Horror or fantasy, take your pick.
Do I have friends? Why of course, though are spread in their own towers across this world. The greatest among them are known as @canine-t33th, @indigoscrayonbox @thecrabbybarista, @dellonthebell, and @magpiegrove!
A lover I have, too, his tower is just over the western horizon. He goes by the name “@pwnprophet”.
