Greetings  and  salutations,  I’m  Zatan,  I’m  19,  and  I  use  she/her  pronouns.  Welcome  to  my  blog.  I  do  have  a  few  rules  that  I’d  appreciate  if  they  were  followed  if  you  want  to  interact  with  me.

I.)  Because  Stranger  Things  is  a  horror  series  with  a  TV-14  rating,  this  blog  may  contain  some  threads  containing  disturbing  themes  such  as  death,  body  horror,  and  gore.  I  will  be  tagging  general  triggers  but  if  anyone  has  a  certain  trigger  that  they  would  like  to  be  tagged,  feel  free  to  IM  me  and  inform  me!

II.)  No  racism,  homophobia,  transphobia,  xenophobia,  etc  will  be  tolerated  on  this  blog.  Not  even  if  it’s  in  character.  While  Stranger  Things  is  set  in  the  80s  and  people  like  to  be  time  period  accurate,  I  will  not  write  any  of  it,  and  I  expect  the  same  from  my  writing  partners.

III.)  I  will  not  be  writing  with  anyone  under  the  age  of  18,  nor  do  I  plan  on  following  anyone  under  the  age  of  18  back.  If  you  are  a  minor  and  follow  me,  I  will  soft  block  you,  if  you  follow  me  again  I  will  hard  block  you.

IV.)  Please  don’t  steal  any  graphics,  headcanons,  art,  etc  from  me.  While  I  am  using  base  icons  I  have  no  problem  linking  you  to  them,  please  don’t  steal  my  edited  icons,  banners,  etc.  I’m  more  heavy  on  this  rule  when  it  comes  to  my  art.

V.)  I highly doubt I will ship any muses on this blog. I will also not stand for any funky shit with people who try to get age gap relationships from me or teacher x student relationships with me. I will hardblock anyone who tries, no if, ands, or buts.

MARY  BLACKWELL,  Hawkins  High's  health  teacher.

     Mary  Blackwell  was  born  August  17th,  1950.  Ever  since  she  was  a  little  girl  she  had  one  goal  in  her  life,  and  that  was  to  help  people.  Being  raised  in  a  conservative  republican  household  she  grew  up  with  her  parents  trying  to  force  their  values  onto  her,  but  Mary  never  agreed  with  them.  

     In  1997,  during  her  senior  year  of  high  school,  Mary  went  to  her  first  protest.  Two  of  her  friends  had  insisted  she  go  to  help  protect  her  rights.  After  hearing  and  seeing  what  people  had  to  say  about  what  was  going  on  in  the  world  she  decided  she  wanted  to  help  the  youth.  While  in  college  she  studied  human  resources,  health,  and  went  for  her  teaching  degree.  

      Before  she  graduated  she  went  to  Woodstock  with  a  van  filled  to  the  brim  with  food,  blankets,  clothes,  and  medical  supplies.  She  saw  it  as  a  chance  to  fully  explore  herself  the  way  she  couldn't  and  her  last  chance  to  do  so.  She  later  on  graduated  in  1972  and  started  teaching  at  Hawkins  Highschool  in  1975.

     That  phrase  with  that  voice  was  something  he  hadn't  expected  to  hear  again,  especially  not  in  a  bar  setting.  Even  if  a  decade  has  passed  and  he  has  grown  older,  Percy  will  always  see  his  previous  students  as  they  were  before  they  walked  the  stage.  Yet  the  the  faces  of  the  students  he  was  most  proud  of  to  see  be  handed  their  dipolma  was  something  he'd  never  forget.  The  hours  spent  in  the  classroom,  the  time  grading  their  papers,  their  best  lines  popping  off  the  page  and  getting  ingrained  in  his  memory.  That  voice  he  had  just  heard  from  the  other  end  of  the  bar  made  various  moments  recollect  in  his  mind.

      Marnie  Brooks,  one  of  his  favorite  students  he  ever  had  the  pleasure  of  teaching,  not  just  in  his  English  class,  but  his  creative  writing  class.  Percy  believed  that  the  students  who  took  his  elective  course  were  the  ones  who  truly  got  to  know  him,  and  he  got  to  know  his  students.  It  was  the  course  where  he  was  in  complete  control  of  the  curriculumn  and  shape  it  to  whatever  he  pleased.  It  was  the  one  class  besides  Mr.  Monet's  freestyle  course  that  Percy  thought  students  could  freely  express  themselves,  which  made  it  his  favorite.

      While  teachers  should  be  able  to  pick  up  on  what's  wrong  with  a  student  based  on  how  they  were  acting,  Percy  found  it  easier  to  see  what  was  truly  going  on  within  young  minds  based  on  what  topic  they  picked  to  write  about  it  and  how  they  wrote  it.

     With  Marnie,  he  could  see  what  was  going  on  within  reading  a  single  sentence  from  one  of  her  stories.  He  remembers  sitting  in  his  classroom  grading  papers  when  she  came  in.  ❛  I  can  fight  my  own  fights.  ❜  The  first  and  last  time  she  said  that  to  him  was  after  he  kept  giving  a  student  she  was  having  issues  with  detention.  Looking  back  at  it  now  he  sees  that  it  could've  caused  more  issues  for  her,  it  could've  made  her  not  want  to  trust  him,  and  he  wonders  if  that  student  had  done  anything  else  to  mess  with  her  when  it  was  out  of  his  sight.  

     But  if  she  lost  her  trust  in  him  after  that  would  she  had  come  to  him  asking  for  opinions  on  her  college  entry  essay?  Would  she  had  come  to  him  searching  for  a  recommendation  letter?  Then  again,  even  if  she  showed  even  the  smallest  bit  of  distaste  for  him  he  still  would've  assisted  her  when  she  needed  it.

     He  wonders  how  it  all  worked  out  for  her,  how  her  time  spent  in  college  was,  he  wanted  to  know  all  about  where  a  prized  pupil  went.  He  still  sees  her  out  of  the  corner  of  his  eye,  and  as  much  as  he  wanted  to  speak  to  her  to  hear  all  about  how  things  went  for  her,  he  can't  help  but  feel  a  bit  odd  about  approaching  a  previous  student  in  a  bar.  No  matter  how  long  ago  she  graduated  it  felt  off  to  him,  maybe  it  was  just  a  case  of  social  anxiety.  Who  knew.  He  sure  as  hell  didn’t.  If  he  had  caught  her  in  another  setting  maybe,  just maybe,  he  would’ve  said  hello  to  her.

ROGER  JOHNSON,  Hawkins  High’s  physical  education  teacher.

     On  August  4th,  1933  Roger  Johnson  Jr  was  born.  From  the  second  he  came  out  the  womb  he  was  pressured  to  follow  in  his  father's  foot  steps.  Roger  Johnson  Snr  was  a  hard  working  family  man  who  did  everything  he  could  to  provide.  He'd  work  a  9-5,  come  home,  spend  time  with  his  wife  and  kids,  then  head  to  bed.  Everyday  for  sixty  years  he  did  the  same  thing  everyday  while  his  son  did  everything  he  could  to  be  the  perfect  boy.  

     While  he  was  average  when  it  came  to  academics  he  was  a  shining  star  in  the  field.  Any  sport  he  tried  he  conquered.  All  looked  well  for  Roger  Jr  until  March  of  1953.  His  college  girlfriend  Janet  was  pregnant  and  she  wanted  to  keep  it.  Scared  of  what  would  happen  Roger  abandoned  his  dreams  of  becoming  a  football  star,  and  instead  went  into  physical  education.  If  he  couldn't  be  the  star  on  the  field  he  thought  he'd  be  content  with  finding  the  next  best  football  player.  In  1954  he  became  the  gym  teacher  at  Hawkins  High  School  and  also  picked  up  the  titles  of  the  school's  basketball  and  football  coach.

VINCENT  MONET,  Hawkins  High’s  visual  art  teacher.

     On  May  7th,  1949  Vincent  Monet  was  born  to  Thomas  and  Claudia  Monet  in  Dayton,  Ohio.  When  Vincent  was  only  seven  years  old,  his  father  died  in  a  car  accident.  After  months  of  struggling  his  mother  decided  to  move  to  Hawkins,  Indiana  to  live  with  her  parents.  While  living  with  them,  Vincent  lived  in  strict  conditions,  chores  had  to  be  completed  in  a  certain  way,  he  couldn't  have  anything  less  than  a  B+  in  his  classes,  and  he  had  to  be  home  at  5  P.M.  everyday.  

     In  order  to  deal  with  the  loss  of  his  father  he  took  to  visual  arts  as  an  escape.  He  spent  years  developing  his  skills,  entering  in  compeitions  throughout  the  state,  winning  every  single  one  he  placed  his  art  in.  When  the  time  came,  he  attened  Paier  College  of  Art  in  Hamden,  Connecticut.  He  graduated  in  1971.  For  nearly  five  years  he  tried  to  pursue  a  career  in  the  arts  but  failed  to  gained  attention  for  his  work.  While  trying  to  find  a  soure  of  income  he  decided  to  give  out  art  lessons.  To  his  surprise  they  did  well.  While  tutoring  people  in  the  arts  he  discovered  that  he  loved  sharing  his  skills  with  others.  This  kickstarted  the  idea  of  him  going  back  to  school  to  get  his  teaching  degree.

     In  1973  he  finished  up  his  teaching  education,  then  in  1977  he  started  teaching  visual  art  at  Hawkins  High  School.

PERCY  KING,  Hawkins  High's  English  teacher.

     On  June  5th,  1941  Percy  King  was  born  in  a  hospital  not  to  far  from  Hawkins,  Indiana.  His  parents  owned  a  small  home  on  Maple  Street.  Like  many  Percy  attened  school  in  the  Hawkins  school  district,  but  he  struggled  to  make  friends.  Instead  of  spending  time  with  his  peers  he  spent  his  time  with  his  nose  in  his  books.  He  took  his  classes  seriously,  he  believed  his  life  depened  on  it.  Anything  he  was  told  to  do  by  his  elders  he  did  to  the  best  of  his  ability.  

     The  perfect  teacher's  pet.  With  nothing  less  than  perfect  100s  for  all  his  test  scores  he  was  able  to  get  into  Yale  University,  but  because  his  family  was  struggling  with  money  he  couldn't  attend.  So,  he  went  to  Purdue  University  instead.  Right  after  grauduation  he  went  straight  home  with  the  hopes  of  finishing  his  first  novel.  

     He  was  offered  a  job  in  an  editing  room  in  New  York  after  submitting  several  applications.  But  in  1965,  his  parents  fell  ill  with  tuberculosis,  before  he  could  return  home  they  passed.  This  made  him  rethink  his  career  choices,  and  with  a  spur  of  a  moment  decision  he  decided  he  wanted  to  get  a  degree  in  teaching.  In  1967  he  finished  the  courses  he  needed  to  take  he  was  able  to  become  Hawkins  High  School's  English  teacher  at  the  age  of  27.
