EVERYTHING we love about bella is stripped away by Edward and vampirism. Her clumsiness, her blush, her brown eyes. The way she loves the sun and Arizona. She loved to cook and now she will never eat again. She hated the cold and now she is cold stone. Edward discards her truck and replaces it with a brand new Mercedes’ she didn’t even like. Which always felt like symbolism to me. Some may see it as an upgrade, as a nice gift… but Bella never wanted it. Think of how EXCITED she was to get that truck and how uncomfortable she was then with the Mercedes. If Bella wanted an upgrade, SHE SHOULDVE PICKED THE CAR. But no.. Edward literally just DISCARDED IT. Bella never liked flashy things or parties but now she’s subjected to that forever.

I think it’s fucking insane that people will say theyre Team Edward cause they’re not “anti-choice.” What did y’all read bc….. what. Just because Bella chooses to be a vampire? To die? She was OBSESSED with the easy way out. She was obsessed with Edward cause they were trauma bonded and she had such horrific self esteem. Just cause Bella chose to be a vampire doesn’t make it a good thing. It is a tragedy and always will be to me. Unless you never gave a fuck about her as a human I suppose. 😗✌️ Bella is an unreliable narrator and was under vampire thrall. Bella was severely traumatized by Edward and felt worthless as a human. Bella had a chance to grow with Jacob and she WOULD HAVE. But she would have PTSD that she could work through. You may be like “she would’ve never gotten over edward.” Yeah she would’ve and she would’ve realized that him haunting her was all Stockholm syndrome.

I’m not “anti choice” for acknowledging Bella’s choice was the wrong one. ExB’s relationship ruined lives, killed people, put the wolfpack through literal HELL and eventually enslaved the wolfpack to them. All for “love” LMAO! It wasn’t love, it was obsession, bloodlust, trauma bonding, low self worth, co dependency.

How much do vampires actually weigh? They're supposed to be marble-like but... hear me out:

If they are actually that heavy they weigh like a metric ton (estimated). Wouldn't the Cullens break furniture etc. all the time then? (apart from Emmett and Rose destroying entire houses)

Every time they sit down at school, the chairs would break. Especially during lunch time, as most cafeterias have plastic chairs.

They have to buy new furniture every few weeks.

Each family member gets a new car every other year, because the seats are broken.

The bedside where Edward lays when Bella sleeps is incredibly worn down from his weight. That's why Esme keeps a whole store worth of mattresses in the basement at all times, because even if Emmett and Rosalie don't break theirs, the others' wear down.

Most walls in America apparently aren't really stable, so leaning against a wall is impossible.

Alice has to buy new clothes for everybody every other month. When they sit or lie down the fabric gets thinner and thinner from the pressure until it loses its original shape.

ok but legitimately i think the reason why kids aren’t taking internet safety seriously is because the people who are telling us not to put our personal information out seem so out of touch. no one acknowledges the possibility of meeting very real teenaged friends online, they always say that everyone you meet is a 40 year old white man in disguise. because they aren’t acknowledging things we know are true, it becomes a lot easier to dismiss the rest of what they’re saying as well. internet safety lessons absolutely must keep up with the times and acknowledge the internet’s capacity for good if you want kids to take to heart warnings about its capacity for bad.

Some actual safety tips for teenagers:

1. Have proof they're a teenager first. More than just a picture, have a video call with them.

2. If you want to meet up with them, have your parents or a trusted adult come with you. Even if they are a proven teenager, its still good to have supervision in case any issues happen.

3. If you are talking to an adult, and they start being sexual in any way, you run the fuck away. It doesn't matter if they're 40 or 20. An adult inherently has a power dynamic that teenagers do not. And its up to the adult to act responsible about it. There's exceptions of course, if you're 16 and dating an 18 year old, that's not a problem, we're not talking about that.

4. Being in a server with adults or ran by adults is not inherently bad. Talking to adults is not inherently a problem, and will likely happen in any number of Discord servers. It is only an issue when they are acting sexual and show predatory behavior.

5. Look out for grooming behavior. It can be difficult, because at first it seems like innocuous behavior, like complimenting or giving gifts. Especially if you feel lonely and have low self esteem. And groomers actively target people like that.

If they start trying to isolate you, talk sexual with you, state they depend on you for emotional needs, blame you for their own actions, try to be secretive about the relationship- Then you need to talk to people you trust, block the perpetrator, and call the police on them.

6. If this does happen to you, remember this: It is not your fault. Even if you didn't listen to a single thing listed here, it is not your fault. It is the fault of the adults who knew better, and didn't care. It's not your fault.

How far do vampire special abilities work?

Take Edward, for example. It is stated that he can "hear" other people's thoughts. Some people, however, don't think in sentences, but in pictures. When you remember something, that's also a form of thinking. But there you also "relive" the situation in your mind, hence no internal dialogue. Would he still be able to know what you're thinking about?

Or Jasper. Does he actually change the hormones that your body produces? He can feel lust, which is mainly physical, so can he also feel physical pain of others? What if somebody doesn't know what exactly they are feeling? Is he then able to know what it is or is it just confusing to him? Does he know who emotions are targeted at?

Kate. How is she able to touch things or people without tasering them? It seems to work at will, but HOW?

Can Marcus also see relationships that aren't yet there but will be there soon?

The whole thing with the special abilities doesn't make sense to me. The worldbuilding smeyer did is unfinished. Nobody knows how the powers work, if there are boundaries, etc. I wish there was more information on this topic.

Rosalie is the angel. Carlisle is not very happy about this as he, as a faithful Christian, wanted to be God's messenger. He and Esme end up as shepherds. Bella and Edward are Joseph and Maria. Resume is Baby Jesus, which Carlisle and Edward also are not happy about, because they're vampires and it's blasphemous. Jasper is chill with everything and ends up being a wise man, just like Alice. Emmett throws a tantrum until he can fulfill his dream and be the camel.

Rewatching breaking dawn part 1 right now. It's worse than I remembered it. You know what bothers me (not the only thing, just something I noticed)?

Why does Bella drink the blood like it's a slurpee?

Okay, so canonically Carlisle is the only family memeber who is actually working and earning money. This means, that actually only HE is wealthy and not the entire family as depicted in the books (in a way that he has to pay for everything).

You can't convince me that not at least once a week one of the others approaches him like that:

AND what about if a wolf imprints on a nonbinary person? Somebody who comes out as trans after being imprinted on? Someone genderqueer? Or does smeyer not believe in the existence of non cishet people?

Honestly, the entirety of breaking dawn was fucked up. But something that always bugged me from the beginning, when I was still a kid and didn't understand the racist subtones, was the names Bella chose for her baby. Renesmee? Weird name ngl, but still better than Edward Jacob. Like??? What was going on in smeyers head when she wrote that? Why would you name your baby after his father and your best friend who constantly tried to make you leave your boyfriend and kissed you against your will? (nothing against Jacob, smeyer did him dirty)

That isn't even like the worst thing about this name. I just sounds like shit. Bella (and the devil's spawn) deserved so much more than to name her kid like that. Just give that baby a nice original name
