Validation from a few little words

All non-binary people have non-binary bodies.

These words jumped out at me this morning as I read this article from everyday feminism. As simple as this statement is, it just never occurred to me before that I have a non-binary body, and that's something that's caused me a lot of pain. Sometimes little things like this can make a big difference. They can help us see things about ourselves from a slightly different perspective. This one certainly did, and I'm really glad.

Resolutions, Being Productive, And Staying True To Yourself

Totally apt resolution list as I gear up for a tremendously busy semester and new internship.

 our greatest source of unhappiness – the refusal to recognize that "busy is a decision" and that presence is infinitely more rewarding than productivity. I frequently worry that being productive is the surest way to lull ourselves into a trance of passivity and busyness the greatest distraction from living, as we coast through our lives day after day, showing up for our obligations but being absent from our selves, mistaking the doing for the being.
