Obey Me! Headcanons: The minor characters (Diavolo, Barbatos, Simeon and Solomon) play Genshin Impact 🎮

Part 1: Obey Me! Headcanons: The demon brothers play Genshin Impact 🎮

Diavolo 👑
• Diavolo first hears of Genshin Impact when Levi mentions it in passing during one of the many, many dinners that the crown prince hosts, but it only piques his interest when he realises that the open world adventure game is the recurring topic of many conversations around RAD. The prince initially has Levi install it on his computer with the reasoning that he wishes to understand the interests of the student body better, but he quickly grows addicted to the eye-catching landscapes and quirky characters that Genshin Impact has to offer. It’s a great stress reliever for the demon who has a never ending list of responsibilities to attend to, and Barbatos regularly has to drag the Young Master away from his computer just so that those responsibilities don’t go neglected.
• A massive, massive whale. He has zero (0) self control when it comes to ‘investing’ in Genshin Impact. Spends more on the game than he probably should; Lucifer and Barbatos are the only individuals in all of the three realms who possess the courage necessary to play the role of the ‘bad cop’ when it comes to bringing Diavolo’s spending sprees to a halt.
• Owns every 5 star character available in the game (mostly because Diavolo is willing to spend as much as it takes to own at least one copy of them).
• A Zhongli main! Mains the CEO of Geo himself for Zhongli’s assets. That’s it. That’s the only reason.
Barbatos 🍵
• It’s only right for him to take an interest in the Young Master’s interests and hobbies, so he finds himself installing the game on his DDD when Diavolo tells him of this fascinating game from the Human World that he simply must try. The graphics on the mobile version of the game are much lower than if he were to download it on a laptop or desktop computer, but it doesn’t bother the butler. He doesn’t intend to allow himself to become invested in a game anyway, so what does it matter?
• (Or so Barbatos tells himself. On one of the butler’s —rare— days off, Diavolo notices Barbatos returning to the castle with an extremely bulky bag slung over his shoulder. When questioned about the baggage, Barbatos makes a vague remark about having to replace several faulty pieces of kitchen equipment. Unconvinced, Diavolo tails Barbatos to his private quarters and peeks through a crack in the door to find his butler meticulously setting up his new top-of-the-line gaming computer.)
• A Noelle main. He has a great deal of admiration for the young lady; she is meticulous and conscientious when performing her duties, and he respects how much effort she is willing to put into achieving her goals.
• Claims to be a casual player, but is able to accurately relay exactly which talent level-up and weapon ascension materials are available on each day of the week without checking the Wiki page or so much as pausing to think about it first.
Simeon 👼
• Solomon is the one who recommends the game to both him and Luke. Simeon was fairly neutral towards the notion of dipping his toes into the world of Genshin Impact; Luke’s enthusiasm was what prompted Simeon to download the game —the young angel was buzzing with excitement at the thought of being able to explore a fictional world with Simeon and Solomon by his side, and Simeon just couldn’t say no to his charge.
• Solomon and Luke have to set up everything for Simeon and patiently walk him through the controls. The controls slip Simeon’s mind so often that Luke takes the time to painstakingly write out a “cheat sheet” for Simeon and pin it over his desk so that Simeon has something to refer to at all times, even when Solomon and Luke are too busy to offer him their guidance.
• Similar to the third eldest of the Demon brothers, Simeon is a Barbara main. Unlike Levi, however, who builds Barbara as a DPS, Simeon builds Barbara as a healer. In fact his entire team consists of healers and only healers —Barbara, Noelle, Jean, Diona (the young bartender reminds him a little of Luke —they’re both feisty and loyal to those they care about, and while they may be quick to bare their fangs at anyone who dares to have a little fun at their expense, both are more bark than bite)— who are all built primarily...to heal. In fact, his team does so little damage that even the easiest of battles can take almost a good quarter of an hour to complete at times. The only reason why he’s survived long enough to make it to World Level 8 is owed to the fact that he’s able to heal himself quicker than the enemies are able to cause him harm.
Solomon 🔮
• May or may not be one of the reasons behind why Genshin Impact is a trending topic in the Devildom. Genshin Impact is a game that hails from the Human World, after all, the realm which the sorcerer originates from.
• Incredibly skilled at building characters. Has incredibly gacha luck when it comes to farming for artifacts; does not own any Artifacts with subpar substats. Levi constantly accuses Solomon of foul play, but the sorcerer is quick to reassure Levi that he would never stoop to casting good luck charms over his electronic devices in the name of guaranteeing his chances of obtaining a stellar Artifact. (A blatant lie. Of course Solomon has Good Fortune™ charms cast on every electronic device he owns. Do you take him for a fool? It’s not cheating if he’s the one who wrote the spell in the first place, after all.)
• Solomon may possess both the skills and the resources necessary to build a strong character, but it does not necessarily mean that the sorcerer is willing to exercise his knowhow for good. He appears determined to put together the most ridiculous combo of weapons and Artifacts possible. (Levi is infuriated by Solomon’s healer Ningguang, mostly because of the fact that it miraculously works. Satan, on the other hand, is impressed by Solomon’s ingenuity.)
• Trolls Simeon endlessly when they play Genshin Impact together. F in the chat for the poor angel who simply wishes to have a bonding moment with his dear friend.
• A Mona main! He’s intrigued by both her knowledge of astrology and her character design. Genuinely considers purchasing a cosplay of her for Halloween. Alternatively, Solomon considers revamping his day-to-day attire to resemble hers. With a few adjustments here and there to better suit his body type, surely he can pull off a similar outfit.
