I'm old enough to remember computer lab classes in the mid-2000s that gave us kids at the time internet safety lessons. One of the most emphasized "rules" was to never give your exact age or anything pointing to it (including a birth year in your username) online. Something to keep in mind with Discord deciding to jump on the age verification smokescreen to bleed every single user dry for their personal information, predicated on placating conservative whining about "Protect the kids!" because no one wants to argue against that.
