Indie Battle Subway Deport Agent; Post PKMN BW2

Lance had been looking for Koga or Steven, when his attention shifted toward a young calling out to him, with what looked to be his little brother tagging along with him. Lance saw the little one looking at him with awe, he figured he was either a fan or wanted his cape. Lance listened as the two came up to him. 

“Is that his Goomy or yours, kid? They’re cute either way!” Lance reached out to give the little Goomy a pat on the head. “So what are your names, kids?”

The elder of two smiled, looking down at their brother as he looked up in awe. It appeared he was at least partially starstruck, large red eyes staring up at the Champion when the Goomy was pet. The awestruck moment helped to get the younger to not hide as much at least.

“M-My brosis caught her, a-and she’s my first…Mutti said that they’re really docile, an’ it’d be a good starter, and stuff…” Taking over in the place of their brother, Sirvat spoke up, “I’m Sirvat, and this is ‘Iggy’. And Gumdrop. I hope it’s alright of us to barge up like this. See, we’re from Unova. It’s rather rare to see someone like you up in person!”

“Champion Lance, sir! ‘Scuse me, really sorry!” Sirvat waved quickly to the man in a cape, their little brother beside them with his Pokemon on his body. The little boy held their sibling’s hand as they tried to make themselves as small as possible while still looking up excitedly.

The violet haired duo walked over, with the older bowing slightly. “Really sorry to be a bother sir, but my brother here is a fan of your’s.” Said brother gave a nod, their little Goomy ‘chirping’ as they moved.

“I’m dead last, but I still made it!” There is some pride to be had in that. Maybe they could have used a less common thing, but it still worked.

“’Scuse me, but can you point me in the direction of Route 14? I’m going to be looking for a Pokemon down there...” ‘And get some of those Roseli Berries i hear about..’

Appeals Round

The lights of the stadium dimmed to the center as Sirvat entered the floor, their Lilligant and Lampent close behind them. A simple violin in their hands, a silver double star pin on their hat that gleamed as they entered the light. Their suit of blue and white seemed to balance with the duo around them, a medium to the cool colors they all shared.

The trio took a small bow together, the light dimming just a bit more as each took a position. Putting the bow to the strings of their instrument, Sirvat began a slow melody as they took small steps forward. 

To their side, the violet flowered Lilligant began her slow dance in sync to her Trainer. Lampent followed suit, slowly spinning as it followed. 

Taking a small breath and taking stance in the middle of the stage, Sirvat quickly sped up their tune as the other part of the music played into it. 

Spinning into a new place, the Lilligant released a Petal Dance that obscured the light, creating an almost fall-like effect. 

Meanwhile, the Lampent stayed closer to their Trainer, twirling around with the faint traces of a Will-O-Wisp starting to appear around their form.

As the first vocals played out of music, the Lampent sent out the flames, setting the petals around them ablaze. Not enough to burn all immediately, but enough to be catching and keeping a steady rate of flame to flowers.

Back to pace, the violette keeps their eyes on their duo. A bit scary with a Grass Type dancing in flames, but she was alright.

Sirvat put more motion into it as they played, the song nearing it's end. The Pokemon danced, petals around them catching faster while they spun in air.

As the song finished, the last of the pink turned to glowing reds on black, floating around to the floor. The trio each held up arms near triumphantly, taking a bow before hurrying along out of the spotlight.

“Of course there are multiple variations, however, they all result the same way. A Pokemon doesn’t have to be of larger standard to be quality when it comes to coordination. A Pokemon just has to have a perfect bonding with their Trainer is all. Knowing you, your Pokemon will do terrific out there. That’s why we hired you. We require the best of the best into being our Agents.”

‘...Boss why.’ Just a slight tinge of pink was on their cheeks at the comment. “Eh heh...I uh, thanks there Boss. I try.” And it did show in their team. In part, it did take quite a bit to evolve a Swadloon to a Leavanny, so that was a good sign of that. “Um...you have any plans for what Pokemon you’ll be entering?”

“Hm.. Well.. I’m sure it’s not so hard. Emmet and I have performed before using Pokemon moves as the main attraction in Nimbasa City’s time square. Perhaps this is just a bigger variant of that show? If that’s the case then this should be interesting for the most part.”

He paused for a bit, glancing over at them. “To really think about it, this Gala IS meant for us amateurs so.. You and I have a fair advantage when it comes to talent. From what I’ve heard, coordination is literally the song and dance between Pokemon and Trainer. They coordinate their moves within their capabilities and let the audience see the energy between them.”

“I mean, every region has their own variation of it I guess? I’ve honestly rarely paid attention to it. My mom likes to watch it though.” Usually their brother watched too.

“If it’s a matter of energy between partners, maybe we’ll manage on an okay level. Though I’m going to be trying with some new partners, a Haunter and a lil’ Torchic.”

“Well.. I was sort of.. forced..to take a vacation from work in Unova. Emmet had signed us up for this one competition to win two-weeks worth of being here and well.. the rest is history. Then I have a friend who desperately wanted me doing this Gala thing, as well as Emmet and.. ugh.. Here I am. I don’t know where to begin when it comes to coordinating. I take it I’m competing with you for the Gala?”

With a smile, he bows his head slightly. “Well then, let’s have a great time out there. Let the best person win and have fun during. I’m sure that you’ll do great out there.”

Interesting coincidence for a meeting. “My mom and dad are here on international business and had myself and little brother come along. Might try to find a certain Pokemon down Route 14...Maybe check Route 21 too. Aaand....My mom said I ought to give it a shot.” 

“Hey, don’t worry all that much. It’s my first time, and I’ve been watching videos on Youtube. I think I might have a grasp on this?” Because Youtube is the archive of tutorials.

The sheer lights of Lumiose was nearly blinding, even with the night having already come. A late plane was the culprit, and storms (Thanks a lot Thunderus) were the cause behind the delay. At the very least, the family was there before sunrise.

At long last though, the family of translators were checking in, their first-born being checked under the contest event to be held soon. Of the family, the father stuck out like a sore thumb by appearance, both children and their mother baring the same purple hued hair. In the oldest’s arms was their younger brother, slowly falling asleep as the family trotted to their rooms. 

Helping the children to their rooms while Sirvat carried the younger of them, it wasn’t long for the family to be sprawled throughout their rooms, sleeping the rest of the night away.
