Just learned that if you catch a salmon during mating season, it thinks "ah well, this is it, I'm out of the water and a predator (human) is grabbing me, I'm going to die" so as a final attempt to continue it's bloodline, it will discharge it's milt (basically fish sperm) at the moment it thinks it might die.
