Oh, Sweet Lord!
Prompt: Dean realising his feelings for you.
Pairing - Dean x Reader
Word Count: 632
Warnings: Fluffy Dean and all the feels!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Hey, Dean,” Y/N said as you entered the kitchen. The week had been lazy to say the least—there were no monsters screwing people’s lives around, and no angel dicks trying to cause ruckus. Rumer even had it that Crowley had taken a ‘well deserving’ vacation to Chuck knows where.
All in all, it was a relaxing week for the Winchesters and you. A peaceful one.
On that happy note, Sam had decided to watch a movie he’d been dying to watch for a long time. He’d not so discreetly, included Eileen, in his weekend long plans as well.
Good for him, Y/N thought. You hoped that Sam would finally make his move and tell Eileen about his not so discreet feelings.
Thus, you had taken it upon yourself to get the grocery shopping done whilst Dean was apparently busy cleaning Baby. Again.
Gosh, that man was something else.
You could go on and on about his beautiful eyes, and even beautiful heart, but decided not to; you didn’t want to get your heart broken at the prospect of him not returning your feelings. And that would hurt more, because you never wanted to lose Dean, not even as a friend. It was thereby, decided by you a long time ago, that you would not act upon those feelings.
It didn’t mean though that you would not take care of him. Lord knew how much these boys had suffered, and how the littlest things and affections mattered to them.
Keeping the cherry and apple pie in the refrigerator, you began making your way towards the garage from where the sounds of classic rock music could be easily heard.
“Dean, I’m home,” Y/N shouted.
“Did you get the pie?” Of course he would ask that.
An involuntary smile made way on your face.
“I did. Cherry and apple.” You leaned against the door of Baby as he appeared from behind the hood of the car. “They are in the fridge.”
The goofy smile on his face was enough to make you laugh. A few moments ticked by as you composed yourself. The smile on his face was replaced by a softer one as he kept gazing at you with emotions you couldn’t pinpoint.
“What are you looking at?”
“Nothing,” he mumbled without breaking eye contact. That sobered up your thought's pretty quickly; if he kept looking at you like that, you wouldn’t be able to hide your feelings anymore.
“Umm...I was thinking of making steak and mashed potatoes for dinner. That good with you?”
“Yeah, sounds good,” Dean answered clearing his throat from the sudden tightness. He saw as you started walking away to prepare for dinner.
“Hey, y/n,” Dean called out to you, watching as you turned around so gracefully and gave him a knowing smile, one that made his heart flutter comically. “Could you please make that special gravy too?”
“Since you asked so nicely,” Y/N replied with a laugh.
Dean, on the other hand, was left mesmerised by your laugh. He loved your laugh, to be honest. Loved the smile that brightened up your whole face. He loved the fact that you cooked him delicious foods, and always took care of him and Sammy. He loved how open he could be with you without the fear of being judged.
He just loved you.
The sudden words revolving in his mind immediately made sense, and Dean stopped breathing all together.
His eyes widened as Sam’s words echoed in his ears—”Dude, do you like Y/N?”
“Oh, sweet Jesus. I love Y/N,” Dean whispered to himself as his feelings started getting a little clearer, and a lot complicated at the same time.
A grin finally made a place on his face though, “I love her!”

⚪ Girlfriend
🔘 An incredibly specific word that I can't remember
*wakes up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat*
WAIT IT’S CALLED A THROW PILLOW
here is a super helpful website for this kinda thing!
the first result isn’t always the one you’re looking for but when you press enter it’ll give you a ton of words related to your query that’ll probably have what you’re wanting, or something better
here’s some examples:
Reblog to save a writer’s sanity (the last bit that’s left)
Reblog for good luck
Bonus:
How do you protect yourself from being stalked online by your parents?
I often get messages from teens living with their abusive parents telling me about how terrifying it is for them to even look at my blog in case their parent finds out. I was a teenager before social networking on the internet. Honestly, when I was a teenager there was barely an internet yet. So, I don’t know how people protect themselves but I feel like probably there are ways. If you know please do share! A lot of people would find it helpful.
Advice for keeping your phone safe in toxic environments:
Keep things in google apps
Everything is saved to your account, ex. you can delete google photos when your phone is checked, and download it again afterwards and get all your photos back
Also because it’s on your account you can log into google on a friend’s computer or a library computer or something if you need to
I’m not sure about other apps but I know you can put a password on google docs
People are more likely to check notes but assume you have google docs for school assignments and not check that
A lot of people monitor texts/use programs that monitor texts, but who’s going to remember to check Google Hangouts?
Use the internet on apps that aren’t Safari
Download another browser and put it in a different folder, because most people can check your safari history but won’t find another app and then figure out how to check the search history of that app
Also use the internet when you click the link in social media ex. If you click a link on a Pinterest pin it can take you to that link on the internet but stay in Pinterest, so it won’t show up in search histories
Inform your friends and if you want to be really sneaky use code when texting
Sending messages as code helps. Ending sentences with certain letters can work. Need something? Definitely use code. Friends can help you. Or other family. Or teachers. Don’t hesitate to reach out. (the first letter of every sentence spelled out SEND FOOD)
Literally just google pigpen code or ceasarian cipher or whatever you want and you can find a way to talk that most people wouldn’t understand
Awesome info. Thank you!
There are more responses too that I can’t reblog. Check out the notes to see them.
I was in this situation a while ago, another thing to do is you can make second accounts on your social media and block your parents account so they don’t find it
For social media, I either go by a different name/photo w/e and block my family or I just make a second account and block them all again.
And I’ve always had a password on everything, so they can’t go through it and I won’t let them.
no one is coming after me but still reblogging because other people definitely need this info
Thank you! Yes. Please, everyone boost. So many need this info.
Fake/second accounts are great for this, as long as you still use your other accounts for safe messages and websites, etc so they don’t get suspicious when they check it. Also, only deleting the parts of your search history that your parents would object to is less suspect than deleting the whole thing.
If they’re being sneaky and checking things while you’re not around, make sure to log out of all social media after using it and try to have a slightly different password for each one.
Let your friends and other people know so that they don’t accidentally send unsafe messages to your main account.
(Stay safe, guys.Reblog to help each other out.)
If your parents look through the apps on your phone to make sure you aren’t using anything like tumblr or a messaging app, you can create a folder filled with boring stuff like settings, the notes app, general shit like that and give it a name like “utilities” or “general” or something like that. Fill up the first page with those apps, and then put the ones you’re trying to hide on the second or third pages. Your parents will see the app icons from the homescreen and ignore it as they can tell what’s inside, but only if they arent that tech savvy. Only do this if you know that they wouldn’t open the folder and click to other pages
Download duck duck go. It’s a search engine thats similar to google, but it has a much more thorough and easier way of deleting search history. Your parents might even think its a game, as the logo is literally just a happy duck, which would decrease the odds of them actually looking at the app properly
I just discovered Hide It Pro. It looks like an audio manager but it’s actually a secret vault where you can store apps your abusive parents will lose their minds over. Anyone ever use this?

Do you have any advice for a writer editing the first draft of their WIP? (Sorry in advance if you already answered this!)
Editing the Rough Draft.
What your rough draft looks like will vary a lot depending on how you write, what kind of story you’re working on, and how much you outlined, so don’t be alarmed if you have to modify tips to fit what works best for you!
Facts:
Rough drafts can suck.
Sometimes you skip words, sentences, entire scenes.
Sometimes your plot runs away with you.
Sometimes the story you wind up with doesn’t resemble the one you wanted, or the one you now wish you had.
That’s okay. The success of a rough draft is determined not by how close it is to your final draft, but whether it exists at all, and your worth as a writer is determined not by what your rough draft looks like, but by what the final draft of the final book you ever write looks like.
Keep your chin up, and dive right in with the first step…
1. Take a break.
Go write a new novel, or edit an old one, or visit an island resort made of books. You cannot look at this story with fresh eyes unless you looked at something else first!
2. Write down what you want to get out of this edit.
You might already know this, or you might have to skim through the rough draft or think over the basic story in order to figure out what the draft’s most predominate issues are. It may have many issues, and there will probably be things you don’t realize are a problem until you’re already in the middle of editing. That’s fine. You can’t start with everything, so pick what stands out to you at the moment.
Some things to look at during your first edit:
Plot structure.
Character development.
Pacing.
World building, factual (i.e. does your world make sense, not whether readers understand your world without exposition.)
What do you not want? Pretty sentences.
Do. Not. Try. To. Make. All. Your. Sentences. Pretty. You will probably change a few to flow better, because you’re (probably) human, but resist the urge to do anything to the word by word writing that takes more than 2.5 seconds to finish.
If you find the plot and character development in your rough draft is particularly tidy already, you could expand to smaller (scene by scene) issues like:
Emotion.
Voice.
Descriptions.
Dialogue.
Tone and theme.
First Chapter.
World building, presentation (i.e. do readers understand your world without exposition.)
On the other hand, if you find many major issues in your plot and character development, you may want to consider a full rewrite. This does not mean your rough draft wasn’t worth writing. Rewriting a rough draft usually leads to both a better story and better individual scenes, so that by the time you’re finished, your new rough draft may end up being the equivalent of a second or third or even fourth draft!
3. Start reading and editing.
The beginning is always the best place to start in my opinion, but if you desperately want to fix the climax, then let your heart run while.
If you have a nice list of chapters or scenes you want to move or rework, focus on that, but unless you’re rewriting the full rough draft from scratch, you’ll probably end up rereading a lot of the original draft as you go. Make obvious adjustments to scenes, things like mysteriously moving doors and random setting jumps and anything you forgot to fill in during the rough draft, but again, try not to focus on the line by line edits yet! There will be plenty of time for that once you’re sure you won’t have to trash this entire scene during the next draft.
4. Reverse outline as you edit.
Reverse outlining is essentially just writing a simplistic outline broken into specific categories based on what actually ended up happening in the story.
Depending on the complexity of your story, you may be able to skip this. Since every story is different, you have to decide what you need to reverse outline for yourself.
If your story has multiple interweaving plot threads, reverse outline each of these plot threads and where they connect.
If your story has complex character development, reverse outline each growth step in every aspect of your developing character, including the choices they make and what influences these choices.
If your story’s pacing feels off, reverse outline every point of lessening and increasing tension.
If your story has a lot of characters, you might want to make a chart of things like the character’s descriptions, or in text motivations, or quirks, or so forth.
Anything too chaotic or convoluted for you to easily track it in your head could probably use some kind of reverse outline.
I loath doing it. It’s a pain in the butt and I hate it with a passion. But it’s incredibly helpful for any part of the story that isn’t straight forward, both because it provides you with a good reference you can revisit throughout the editing process and it can show you issues in your story that you never would have realized existed any other way.
5. Rise and repeat (until you’re ready for critique!)
My general rule of thumb is that once you find yourself either going “I don’t know what else to change” or “I don’t know if these changes are helping” then you need some kind of beta readers to look at your story.

Come Back
Prompt: “I like the disease.” - Demon Dean
Pairing - Dean x Reader ; Sam x Reader (platonic)
Word Count: 1266
Warnings: None. Just some angst. And Demon Dean, if that’s a warning.
Dean Winchester and Y/N never saw eye to eye. Their relationship, in itself, was very odd. They didn't hate each other, merely tolerated the other's presence for the sake of Sam. Whenever they met, there were no long hugs or how are you doing or I missed you, no. It was nothing like that, even after knowing each other for almost all their life. Whenever they met, there was just a small nod of acknowledgement and afterwards, they were off to finish business and slaying monsters.
Sam, however, was the exact opposite story. He had been her best friend since the day they'd met at Bobby's place, and their whole childhood had been spent attached at each other's hip. It was hard to find Sam and Y/N apart, and over the years the relationship blossomed more into that of siblings.
So when Sam had called her - crying and basically begging for help, Y/N hadn't even spared a second in saying 'yes'. The ride to the bunker from the small town she had taken up residence in, wasn't too far, and she was immensely thankful for that. It took her roughly two hours to reach the Winchester's humble abode. She had just knocked on the heavy metal door of the bunker, when no sooner it was opened by an utterly exhausted and tired Sam.
The tension seemed to leave his body as soon as his eyes landed on his best friend. He hugged her close to his chest, burying his face in her hair as if trying to assure himself that everything would turn out to be okay.
"Hey, buddy! It's so nice to see you." Y/N spoke, gently rubbing soothing circles on his back. She knew him well enough that Sam was an absolute mess at the moment.
"It's good to see you too Y/N/N. Thank you so much for coming on such short notice." Sam said suddenly nervous. He hadn't wanted to drag her into this whole mess seeing how Dean and Y/N didn't like each other much, but she was really his last hope.
"Don't be absurd Sammy. You did the right thing by calling me." Y/N said with a frown on her face.
"Yeah! Oh god, where are my manners...come on in." He ushered her inside, smiling slightly at the look of absolute awe on her face.
"Like it?" He asked as they moved along the halls and in the kitchen.
"This place is absolutely brilliant, Sammy. I see now why you gave me the offer to stay here." Y/N said as she graciously accepted the offered glass of water.
After several moments of light-hearted conversation. Y/N finally asked, “Where is he?”
"He's tied up in the dungeon. There really was no other way to keep him in one place." Sam sighed and Y/n noticed how much of a toll the whole situation had taken on him. There were dark circles under his eyes and it seemed that he hadn't been taking care of himself.
"We're gonna get your brother back, Sammy. Don't worry." Y/N said with full confidence easing a few Sam's worries.
"Let's go and meet him, shall we?" Y/N followed the younger Winchester to the dungeon wherein Dean's humming could be heard from the other side of the door. Suddenly the humming stopped and his voice boomed startling Y/N a little.
"You know, it's very rude to tie up your own brother like this, Sammy. Tell me, is this what I taught you, hmm? Let go of me, brother mine, or you know what will be the consequences."
Y/N slightly shivered at the coldness of his voice. This definitely wasn't the Dean she had known. Sam was waiting for her approval and after receiving an affirmatory nod, he gently opened the door which immediately silenced Dean.
“Tricking me like this wasn't very nice of you, Sammy. I told you to stop following me or searching for me, didn't I?...” Before he could speak any further Y/N came into his line of sight bringing a feral grin to appear on his face.
“Well, well, well...look who it is! If it isn't Sammy's loyal pet. How're you doing, darling?” The demon wearing Dean's face spoke.
“Don’t talk to her like that, Dean,” Sam warned his brother. Whether this own blood or not, Sam definitely wouldn't back down if his brother insulted any woman.
“What!? Don’t want me to talk to your little girlfriend?” Dean scoffed in disbelief.
“I'm not his girlfriend,” Y/n spoke with gritted teeth. She hadn’t even talked to him, but the stupid smirk on his face was getting on her nerves already.
“As if I’d believe you. Stop with all the drama, darling. We both know, you ain’t here for me, but for dear Sammy.”
“You’re mistaken this time. I didn’t come here for Sam. I actually came here for you.” Y/N spoke, looking at Dean straight in the eye. Deans grin faltered for a second as if he was stunned by her answer, but no sooner it was back on his stupidly handsome face.
“Wow! I didn’t know that you liked me this much Y/N/N. What do you say - wanna grab some juicy burger and cold beer?” He winked at her in the most pervert way making her internally gag.
“Stop with the nonsense, Dean. This ain’t you. This monster that’s wreaking chaos and havoc, isn’t you. You’re the hero who saves people and makes them believe that there is still goodness left in this cruel world. You’re a Winchester, and you don’t give up that easily.” By the time she was finished, she was kneeling in front of him with a pleading look in her eyes.
Dean was looking at her as if he’d never seen her before. She wasn’t the annoying kid that never followed his orders or the girl who was more interested in books and guns, instead of tea-parties and ponies. She wasn’t the girl who was trying to come between Dean and his brother. She was just Y/N. A badass hunter. A loyal friend, and most importantly one of the fiercest women, Dean had ever gotten the chance to meet.
Y/N, on her part, could see the gears in his head spinning. Maybe her trick was working, so she kept on talking to him, “I know you’re in there, Dean. And I know that you’re listening to my every word. You need to come back. The world needs you, Sam needs you. Come back, Dean. I know that there are still monsters out there, lurking in the shadows, but take a look at your brother,” she gestured towards the other Winchester who seemed to be on edge. Sam’s heart was beating frantically with only one thought in his mind - will he get his brother back? The Dean looking at him was his older brother, his protector, his only family. How was Sam supposed to give up on him so easily?
“Yeah, that’s the brother you swore to protect all your life.” Dean looked back to Y/N. Y/N kept going on, “Come on, Dean. Come back. Let us take care of the disease.” As soon as those words left her mouth, everything seemed to go down the drain. Black ink spread through the moss green eyes and took away Sam’s hope with it. Dean grinned maniacally.
“I like the disease. I don’t want to be cured.”
Y/N sighed dejectedly. This wasn’t going to be easy at all.

Summary: Dean and his girls take a road trip in sunny California
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Word Count: 545
Written for: @spnonewordbingo
A/N: I was inspired by Russell Dickerson’s Blue Tacoma and all I could think is Dean driving up the California coast, singing the wrong words in the right places. Hope you like it! Remember, the nicest thing you can do for a writer is reblog their work and tell them, and others, how much you like it!
My girl and I were on vacation. The hunting life wasn’t easy and we rarely got any time off and there sure as hell ain’t any paid holidays. But ever since the other hunters came back with us from the alternate universe where Sam and I were never born, it’s been a little easier to take a day or two of rest.
Y/N is the one that suggested we take time off, but all I wanted to do was hunt down that son of bitch Michael who felt he could fuck with me. I was still having nightmares of what I had done to those people. Hell, I was having nightmares about what I had done to monsters.
Sam had the Bunker under control and the current cases were covered. It was how I found myself driving up the California Coastal Highway, one hand on the steering wheel, the other hand holding hers.
“Stupid hills. Can’t even get a good radio station,” I grumbled. I was watching the road, the ocean on my left, Y/N on my right, and a cheap pair of sunglasses from the Gas ‘N Sip on my face. Country music was all we could get out here, but even that couldn’t damper my mood.
“I love this song!” Y/N squealed, reaching over and turning up the volume and singing at the top of her lungs.
It’s in a blue Tacoma, California
White magnolia in your hair
Rays of gold are shining on ya
Oooh, if heaven is anywhere
It’s never running out of golden road
Always having your hand to hold
In a blue Tacoma, California
Oooh, if heaven is anywhere
It’s right here
The day was perfect and this song fit perfect with the entire trip. I didn’t know how long we could pretend the rest of of our world didn’t exist, but right there with her, I would take every second I could get.
The morning sun beat down on my back as I walked back to the motel from the coffee shop down the street. Just across the street, a burst of color caught my eye from the flower shop. I quickly darted across the road, made my purchase and hightailed it back to the motel so we could get on the road.
“It’s in a Black Impala, California
White magnolia in your hair,
Rays of gold are shining on ya
Oooh, if heaven is anywhere
It’s never running out of golden road
Always having your hand to hold
In a black Impala, California
Oooh, if heaven is anywhere
It’s right here”
“I thought you hated country music, Dean,” she sassed from her seat.
“Yeah, I really do. But it’s a catchy tune, you like it and it kinda fits, ya know?” I took my eyes off the road for a minute to look at her. I was so god damn lucky. Just look at her. The sun’s rays were shining down, lighting up her hair, ironically making it look like a halo. The magnolia flower I picked up at the flower shop and the two of us in my Impala.
I’ve been to Heaven and didn’t like much what I saw back then. But I’ll tell you something, this, right here? This is Heaven.
