i'm abandoning my current skyrim run to try and collect all 50+ vanilla followers and i've decided to dress them up in cool wizard robes to keep track of them in a crowd

update: i now have 11 followers and they push me around so hard that i'll sometimes clip through the ground

anyways tiny little update:

- i've 31 followers now

- only half of them actually fast travel with me, the other half travels by foot to the destination

- everytime i enter somewhere, i'm dropped a solid 10 metres away from the actual entrance because it's so crowded

- everyone is so loud

- brelyna will sometimes say "got any sausages?" and jenassa will reply "gods you're starving" which i think is cute :)

I really wanted to create a breton OC because i thought it would be cool, and i’m french, but the lore on them is either non-existent or bland as hell.

So if you have some Breton lore or cool headcanons to share, please send them my way, i’m desesperate for some depth and world building, and Bethesda can’t be bothered to give Bretons either

This is such a big mood, Bretons are one of my favourite human cultures in TES and it’s largely because they’re so blank-canvas I’ve projected whatvever the hell I want on them. This is the excuse I needed to bring my Bretons Deserve More musings over from twitter:

Busting out of left field because TES has been on my mind this week and imagine for a sec that the Breton motifs and design had been way less “generic northern-western euro” and way more French Riviera/Adriatic/Baltic/verging on Russian, maybe with a little Spanish thrown in for good Mediterranean measure as their landscape spans from the temperate Iliac Bay (of which arid Hammerfell is on the opposite coast) to the cold and mountainous Wrothgar region in the north.

Imagine how much more pattern and colour there’d be. They’re sandwiched between the Nords (nordic/scandi analogue) and the Redguard (Moorish/arab analogue). Why they so bland and non-descript, especially in TESO? I also took a shot at some Breton merchant class ladies’ dress, some very basic ideas to kick the bland design motifs to the curb. High Rock is a melting pot built on trade with its neighbours I will be their champion.

Glenumbra/Stormhaven - relatively peaceful and prosperous, elven influence in sewing techniques and imported colour, without the ostentatious flair of high elves

Rivenspire - ornate without being impractical. Show off wealth with imported fabrics and exotic techniques.

Bangkorai - a tumultuous region, a confluence. Alik’r influence is profound, tho bretons of the region shun the flamboyant colour & patterns of their southern neighbours

Wrothgar- practicality and survival are more important, but orcish crafts have encouraged intricate detail

This is an mazing addition, i love this idea so much; i would have never thought of giving them some slavic influence, and mix it with more western European cultures, but that gives such a wide array of clothing and myths to pull from!
