i’ve already mentioned this before but i gotta talk about it some more because it’s so funny - somewhere down the line bill adopts a seven year old. bill is dad and mike is papa and the rest of them are aunts and uncles by name but basically just co-parent

and at first everyone thinks richie is going to be the irresponsible co-parent, but he’s not. he spends a few weeks going “hey little buddy what do the children like these days” and he cannot for the life of him stop cursing in front of the kid, he’ll just be like “yes i know i said that, but don’t repeat it because i will get into trouble and then i will be sad” and then he ends up being very good with the kid

they’re all very impressed with him and it’s only a few months in that they realize they had it all wrong when the kid drops a plate of food into the dirt and is like “do you think i can still eat this?” and eddie’s like “idk try it and see if you get sick, it’s the only way to learn”
