I’m so glad Fabian got to spend his latest birthday with all of his friends and almost the whole school present because birthdays must be hard for him.

It’s the day when it’s most prominent to his mother that he’s aging rapidly faster than her.

How many of his birthdays has Hallariel spent completely drunk because the years go by so fast? How often has she forgotten his birthdays because that was easier than dealing with the passage of time?

And how much did Cathilda’s effort to conceal his mother’s absence make it even more apparent to him that she wasn’t there?

How many of Fabian’s birthdays felt like actual celebrations to him and not like someone was already grieving him?

The fact that Riz surprised Kipperlilly so much that she gave away her position with a “what the fuck?“ is so funny to me bc she really thought she had Riz 100% figured out! She thought she could mastermind plan for him.

But the truth is, Riz is just as insane as the rest of the bad kids! She never stood a chance and I hope she dies mad about it.
