Hi my lovely people! I’ve been quite inactive as I’ve been recovering from some hefty surgeries - a month ago I had a total hysterectomy, and endometriosis excision (my third in three years) which was across all my pelvic organs. Yay! I thought I would paint a lot in recovery, but I’ve actually just been mostly sleeping and when I haven’t been sleeping I’ve either been playing Tomodachi life, or watching/rewatching Dexter from season one after catching up with the new seasons from the last couple of years. Of course, I’ve been thinking of Rolan every damn day. I just haven’t had it in me to paint him or finish my previous WIPs. I’ve missed him, and you! If I’ve not replied to comments or messages, that’s why, it’s not you, it’s most emphatically me.

Here’s an old one of Rolan, one of the first I ever painted of him where I finally thought, yes, I’ve got this. Haha.

Rolan & chrysanthemums for Baldur's Flora - bg3 flower zine. I wanted to emphasizes the protection meaning for chrysanthemums by including a bit of Lia and Cal. It was so lovely drawing this piece for the zine and so excited to finally share it!

Some current WIPs! I’m slower on these than others for some reason. I find clothes very tedious to paint, and bodies more frustrating to get anatomically correct than just a portrait.

Peep the chaos of Ramazith Tower.,. That’s a @cursed-nyxan special in a style I’ve never done before. Eeeeee!

I’m close but also not close to finishing my Connor Storrie/Rolan beach painting which I started a few months ago. I think having a tail would make tieflings EXCELLENT swimmers, though Rolan has only ever swam in the Chionthar river. Holiday Rolan would take a few days before he felt he could fully relax, don’t you think?
