Dolomite is a progressive kingdom that previously ruled under the monarchy. It was formed on the basis of faith in the gods of Preservation, especially the God Hite.
Dolomite has taken root in two parts of the continent at once — North and South.
The Northern part of Dolomite, with its harsher climate, is the center of the nation's influence. Almost the entire industrial activity of the kingdom is also located here.
The Southern part of Dolomite, which has a smaller territory but a large population, has become the center of agriculture and home to many Ellilians.
Due to the alliance with Adularia, Dolomite gained access to knowledge and inventions from the lands of Ashatra. After that, the Dolomites began to actively explore unknown technologies, quickly turning into an innovative kingdom throughout all of Ellil. Dolomite is trying to share its progressive discoveries and solutions with other kingdoms, but not everyone shares the same enthusiasm as them.
The Nation
Dolomite is an interethnic kingdom that treats all the nations of the continent kindly on its lands. Support and adaptation programs, as well as employment assistance, have been developed for people migrating to the Dolomite. Pure-blooded Dolomitian is a real rarity today.
In Dolomite, non-magical education is developed among the entire population. From an early age, children here are taught to work and are inspired by the idea that everyone should benefit their homeland in many ways. The Dolomites believe that everyone can find their place at the center of Ellil's progress.
Religion
There is no official cult of deities in Dolomite, but the kingdom does not prevent its people from practicing any religion at all.
Sunstone can rightfully be called the centuries-old oasis of Ellil. It is a place bordering side by side with the hot desert sands and the tropical flora of the continent. It was formed as a result of belief in the gods of Creation — the Goddesses Helio and Argo.
The Sunstone is a matriarchal place where the role of women in society is absolute. This is due to events of the past, such as the mass extermination of the female population by Queen Elliana Apollo. These bloody pages in Sunstone history were ended by Flamell Apollo, the brother of the Queen and the future king of this kingdom. Even centuries later, these tragic events have left an imprint on Sunstone, with a ratio of women to men of 1:20 to this day.
The ripe fruits of exotic flora and the kaleidoscope of spices from the Sunstone did not find any competition on the markets of the continent, remaining rightfully as the pride of this place. This island is considered as the land of daily celebrations and colorful sensations. Even their local chocolate, which induces alluring bliss in the body, attracts many travelers from all corners of Elill.
The Sunstonians have also made a huge contribution to the study and expansion of the boundaries of magic. It was here that a real breakthrough was made when the kingdom were able to find a way to rejuvenate Ellilian's bodies, thereby increasing the lifespan of the people of Sunstone.
The Nation
After the accession of King Flamell, the law on polyandry came into force immediately: following it, a woman living in and being a full-fledged resident of Sunstone can have several husbands simultaneously (regardless of their nationality or status in society). During the wedding ceremony, according to well known here tradition, the mark of the bride's family is burned onto the man's body. This symbol signifies devotion and unbreakable bond between lovers, which were once burned into both partners' bodies before the tragic events of the past. Following the downfall of Queen Elliana, the mark is burnt only onto a man's skin these days.
The role of a woman in Sunstone society, according to current politics and ideology, is the head of the family. The birth of a girl is a significant event, not only for the parents, but for the kingdom as well: small celebrations are often held in the communities, and generous monetary rewards are given to those families who have been able to bring a young Sun into the Land of Sands.
Children in harems are raised by all members of the community, and each adult is responsible for their maintenance and upbringing. In case of divorce, the children remain with their mother under any circumstances. It is difficult for a divorced man to enter into a new relationship because of the burned-out mark, so the Sunstonians take the matters of marriages seriously.
According to the laws of Sunstone, any violence against a woman is unacceptable, regardless of its cause. Such an act may be punished by imprisonment and/or exile, and, in particularly serious cases, by the death penalty.
As part of the alliance with Morion, the most beautiful young men and maidens from the North regularly come to Sunstone. Every year, they join the royal army of the South, bringing new potential mothers into society, and some may even be lucky enough to become part of Queen Aurora's harem.
Religion
Most Sunstone people dearly believe in the gods of the pantheon of Creation. They especially worship the Goddess Helio.
Adularia is the smallest and youngest kingdom on the continent.
Before Adularia became a fully-fledged kingdom, its people, deprived of magic for some unknown reason, were a nomadic tribe descended from the goddess of Wisdom, Adill. Over the years, during which there was bloodshed and wars, Adularia acquired its own land, named after the moon goddess of Ellil. The people of Adularia respect the moment in their history, when, due to the Civil War in Aquamaris, they gained the freedom of their people and the land they could finally call home.
The Adularians live as one large community that faithfully worships and honors its ruler. In contrast to other kingdoms, Adularia doesn't stand out in any way except for the fact that it was here that the magic of opening interdimensional portals took place. The local queens have the ability to open portals to another world, commonly known in Ellil as Ashatra. This power was of interest to all the kingdoms on the continent, but the people of Dolomite were especially curious about it. It was thanks to the alliance with Dolomite that Adulara began to gain weight as a fully-fledged kingdom on the continent.
Adularia was destroyed as a result of the last war in Ellil. The Mother of Adularia, who did not have an heir, died under tragic circumstances.
The Nation
Adularians call their rulers "Mothers", and each other as "brothers and sisters". The Mother herself addresses them as her "children."
The national costumes of Adularia are white robes with gold patterns that cover the bodies of Adularians completely (in some cases, even the head and face). Almost all Adularians wear gold earrings with moonstones, identifying their connection with their Mother.
Usually, Adularians do not maintain contact with representatives of other nations due to the solitude of their people, and they almost never leave their own lands. There is only one known Adularian who has left his homeland in search of another life.
As a result of the last war, most of Adularia and its population were destroyed, and the survivors found shelter in the kingdoms of Aquamaris and Dolomite. Now the lands of Adularia are considered uninhabitable, and they have returned to Aquamarine's possession.
Religion
Despite the fact that Adularians are descendants of Goddess Adill, they do not have a strong liking for her cult. The only true Goddess for them is the Mother of Adularia herself.
Morion is the largest kingdom on the continent, whose core calling is combat. It was formed as a result of faith in the gods of destruction, Pyrope and Ruben. According to legends, the Morionians got their bright red eyes from the goddess of hunting herself.
Since its formation, Morion has been a closed kingdom, and opened its borders only after the end of the last war. Escapes from Morion have long been quite frequent, despite being punishable by law in this Northern kingdom. Those who manage to commit this betrayal act become enemies of the nation and are never allowed to return to their homeland, it is believed.
Due to the harsh climate, agriculture is not well developed in Morion. Morionians are mainly engaged in hunting and extracting animal skins from their rich forests. This place is known as a stronghold for excellent hunters who can defeat anyone, whether it's a ferocious beast or an unfortunate victim.
Every Morionian is sent to the army at the age of 75 regardless of gender, and the service lasts for 50 years.
The mountains of Morion are rich in minerals, including a wide variety of precious stones. Because of this, blacksmithing and jewelry making are well developed in the kingdom. Despite the fact that Morion just recently opened its borders, it is a well known fact that the best jewelry on the entire continent is made here. It's no secret that their jewelry carries special powers within itself.
In the Northern lands, you can often see many wooden totems that protect local villages and sacred places. Morionians are worshipful about woodcarving, believing that it is precisely because of the durability of wood that the deities are able to grant them safety, and they, in turn, honor them with their wooden images in that way. In many families, wood carving is considered as a traditional craft that passed down from generation to generation. Many amulets and wooden toys decorate the houses of people of the North.
The Nation
Due to the fact that Morion has been closed to outsiders since its foundation, its people considered themselves superior to the rest of the Ellilians. The Morionians treat outsiders with disdain and disapprove of any contact with other people of the continent. Any intimacy with a representative of another nation was unacceptable and socially punishable for them, and any children who appeared as a result of such unions were disposed of at the egg stage.
There are small communities on the lands of Morion that have settled away from towns and villages. Some of them lead a barbaric lifestyle and attack civilians of the North. They worship their own deities and perform rituals that are unacceptable to both the civilized Morionians and the Ellilians in general. They are no strangers to sacrifice, cannibalism, mass murder and other practices that are considered inexcusable. And although the kingdom is trying to deal with this centuries-old problem, the barbarians are still a huge issue for Morion.
Morion's families are often patriarchal. However, there is a common wedding tradition in which a couple must fight for dominance in their future family. In some villages and communities, there is also a tradition of stealing brides and fiances.
Any trait that is not typical of the original image of a race frightens Morionians. Hatching a white-haired child is a rare phenomenon, interpreted as a curse and misfortune for the entire family. For this reason, the Morionians have a dubious attitude toward the newly-made wife of King Norman, Queen Justine. It is unknown which nation the woman belongs to, but it is surely not acceptable to spread rumors or openly discuss such delicate matters — there is a high chance of becoming a traitor of a nation and losing one's head.
Morion and Sunstone have been allies since the ancient times of Ellil. The history of their origin union is unknown, but when new rulers ascended the throne, these kingdoms repeatedly swore oaths of loyalty to both of their nations' rulers. This alliance obliged them to help each other in times of wars. As part of this agreement, Sunstone sent its best healers to Morion. These healers are considered untouchable in the Northlands, and anyone who dares to harm them will be punished.
Religion
Faith in Morion flows in multiple directions. Most people in the North believe in their current king, while some are more keen on the faith of the Destruction gods. There are also pagan cults that worship local deities in barbarian communities.
