I found the most cursed most ominous thing on amazon today….. the offsetting sickly yellow, the ghost of him in the background staring into your soul disapprovingly, the unbalanced little guy off to the side, the mcdonalds logo, how off kilter the picture was taken, but worst of all it was just titled “seto kaiba” and that was it. I feel like his soul has been trapped in this disk and I am afraid.

and for some reason they decided that they should make kaibas eyes follow your cursor and its terrifying
also there’s absolutely no way to describe how ominous the feeling of being in this main menu area is. yugi reads you this weird message, then kaiba repeats the exact same advertisement phrase three times in a row, and then the music changes to a very scary song thats just two notes repeated over and over again
ok this is bizarre because I remember getting this exact disk WHEN IT WAS RELEASED by McDonald’s as the Happy Meal “toy” but here’s the thing.
It was a CD.
It wasn’t a game disk. It was a CD that played three songs and I used to listen to it on fucking repeat because I was obsessed with both Yu-Gi-Oh and Kaiba in particular as a child.
What the fuck alternate universe did this fucking thing come from?

What better way to break in the new blog than by finally voicing a post i’ve been wanting to voice for months!
This was my actual favorite part of working in a theater. People would come in and use a string of words no human had ever uttered and I’d have to be like “ohhhhkay let’s parse this out.”
