tw: crying, slight feeling of being unloved.
the triplets were used to picking you up at school when they were home from L.A. everyday after school, youโd run into their arms, ask them to hold your elsa backpack that weighs practically nothing, and theyโd take you to get a slice at your favorite pizza place.ย
but little did they know, this week would be different.
so, when itโs chrisโ turn to go inside the school to get you, he is utterly shocked.ย
there you are, your little 5 year old self, with tears streaming down your face and a teacher consoling you.ย
he rushed over to you, concern painting his face. when you finally see him, you put out your arms, fully stretched out. โc-chrissy,โ comes out of your whiney mouth, broken.ย
โhey, pretty girl, what happened?โ he cooed, bringing you in a tight embrace.ย
โi-i wanโ go home!โ you say into his chest, as more sobs rip through your body.ย
โokay, hey, thatโs fine. can we talk about it in the car with matt and nick?โ he says softly, picking you up, taking the backpack from the teacher, and silently mouthing โthank youโ.ย
โokay,โ you stutter.ย
after chris placed you in your car seat and sat in the passenger seat, matt and nick looked at chris with concern.ย ย
โcan you tell us what happened at school, baby?โ nick says, brushing any tears away from your cheeks.ย
โi was playinโ with daโ bear you got me for my b-birthday and a kid named brian t-took it right outtaโ my hands,โ you say, fidgeting with your fingers.ย
the triplets hearts broke in half hearing your sweet, broken voice. matt, being the caring brother he is, turned to look at you and took your little hand in his.ย
โdid you ever get your bear back, bub?โ he asks, making sure you still had your favorite stuffie.ย
โyeah, i jusโ didnโt want him to take something so special from m-me. itโs daโ only thing i havโ of you guys before you go back home.โ you say, sighing.ย
the boys look at eachother with a sad stare, not realizing how much you missed them when they were gone.ย
โy/nโ, chris says, โwe love you so much. we could never forget about you. do you think about us with weโre not home?โ
โyeah. i know you donโ miss me though, so i always keep my bear close to me.โ
their eyes almost burn in devastation. you, his little sister, thought he didnโt miss you.ย
โno no no, honey. thatโs not right at all. we miss you so much, and we know now how much you miss us. how about we call you every night when weโre gone so you can hear our voices?โ matt suggests.ย
โreally?โ your little eyes bright up instantly. nick smiles and replies,
โyes, bubs. of course we will. we love you to the moon and back.โ
