MIKE WHEELER DESERVED THE ROMEO TREATMENT aka Mike should have died with El
It's insane to me that people would look at Mike's ending and think he got what he deserved. Sad. Depressed. Schizo, like are you kidding me? The Duffers should have committed to the whole tragic love trope for El & Mike by letting Mike die with her. It would have left a much bigger impact and made both El & Mike's endings much better and completed his arc perfectly . It's pretty clear Mike was always as a character meant to be tied to El which is why when El's role in Season 5 was reduced to elevate Will, Mike got relegated to the background character.
Since they didn't intend on giving El a good ending, they basically screwed over Mike as well. So in my opinion, they should have Romeo and Julieted their ending and it would have been 100x better than the garbage we got.
