This is not a callout post, this is merely to make people aware of the behaviour in this server and how you should be cautious when interacting with any of the members. And to point out the mismanagement of this server. Please do not send harassment to any parties especially as minors are involved.
I am a former member of The duskgloom sea fanclub/cookie lagoon, I wish to remain anonymous for my mental health but given how certain members act I fear they will try and dig to find out who I am. I am prepared for that, and I think getting this information out there is more important.
This server had rules that are incredibly lax (and still are at the time of writing this), one of these lax rules was that you don't need to state how old you are—simply if you are an adult or minor. Let me reiterate. This server allowed members to hide how young or old they may be; meaning they did not know how young (or old) someone in their server might be at any given time.
This in itself is not inherently a problem. But some members (including one of the owners) discuss/bring up suggestive topics. These users are in the 16-17 range, possibly slightly older. And they discuss these things in a public server that anyone can access.
There was no rule against suggestive content.
In a server where minors did not have to disclose how young they are.
Because of this an at the time 15 year old was exposed to suggestive content by someone who was/is 18. They have gone on to call this person a predator, but they have not taken accountability for making this space possible in the first place (allowing people to not directly state their age, posting suggestive content themselves, not barring that type of discussion when the server was first made).
At the time of writing this they've stated that age is required but can allow a person to put a 'range' instead, I'm not active enough to know if they enforced this rule. I do know that they have implemented a no nsfw/suggestive art rule.
Said rule which is disregarded by one member. This person is one of the owners, who's oc is clearly inspired/engages in pet play behaviours (it goes far beyond them just wearing a collar).
They are old enough to know better.
Why am I coming out about this now?
Well, after seeing the truth behind our servers 'predator' I realised how much this server is unsafe. Those interactions should've never happened, yes; but the hypocritical nature of those in the server has soured whatever point they try and make.
They call an 18 year old a predator in the same breath they post suggestive art in, if anyone is playing victim it's them.
They may try and 'debunk' this post, but know most things they will say is a stretch to make themselves look better.
I'd feared making this post because I remember a time when someone joined our server and then left rather quickly, something most people would think nothing off but one person decided to look them up to find their accounts just to make fun of them (What's stopping them from doing it to me).
That was something that happened a lot, the making fun of people part. Saying slanderous bullshit about people they don't even know, breeding a space of toxicity that festered. Look up the word cosmic in their server and I'm sure you'll find plenty of examples.
Perhaps they'll go scorched earth on the server when this post reaches them, delete any and all evidence—possibly the server itself—so it's my word against theirs. But I simply do not care; this is to report on their behaviour, behaviour I have no faith will change even after they see this post.
So simply stay away from the duskgloom sea fanclub/cookie lagoon server, and those associated with it and the owners.
