「 enforceroflaw … ▾ 」
That’s it, this programmer just couldn’t take it! She needed to give herself a project—anything—_just _something _to keep her preoccupied. Before all this, her biggest project had traced back to her first program that dealt with information retrieval through vocal interface. She spent _years working on it, and considering she would possibly be stuck here for months (God forbid more than a few months—), what else could she do other than to continue it?
The goal was to develop a strong AI (Artificial Intelligence) that could replicate the way the human brains think. Most of the coding she could do in a few hours, tops, but she needed to create a platform for it. She was no stranger to engineering and robotics, but it’s easier said then done. This was the reason the same girl found herself amongst the intimidating shelves of power tools and other gadgets. This was the only store she could find that would carry all the necessary materials. It was worth a shot, really. What did she have to lose? She had already begun mentally constructing it; first, she would test it’s response time with some juvenile light bulb tricks using arduino. From there, she could take it in a million directions.
Chihiro began absentmindedly gathering a list of everything she would need. To any other, the look on her face would cause them to assume she was lost or confused. In reality she was deep in thought, and well as anything _but _lost. Hell, she could run the place with her knowledge and expertise. Still, it didn’t seem to bother her when she was approached by a women in the store.
Actually is that really just a normal women or an Amazonian warrior? Almost at a height of six feet, she towered over Chihiro. Complete with toned muscles and shocking pink hair. She looked like a character straight out of one of Chihiro’s video games! The programmer couldn’t help but stare… and fail to pay attention to what she asked her.
"Oh! I— um…" How embarrassing!
"I’m so sorry! I didn’t quiet catch that… What did you say?"
Limited was the amount of money Vi had in her pocket, she doubted it would be enough to buy everything she needed. Spending money wasn't her style, either, as she usually created everything from junk pieces she found in scrapyards. The times were rare where she would spend even a single coin on anything. This time, though, she needed complete set of pieces to build back her metal gauntlets and from what she had gathered, there was nothing that could be useful in this place. Perhaps the scientist were well aware that people like her existed and tried to make finding materials as impossible as they could. They had probably erased--or already used-- everything useful.
Vi was eager to get everything she needed to start working. Hell, even if she could not recreate her weapons, she would be happy enough to be able to build something-- anything. Her mechanic senses were at their peak. Her gaze dropped to what was her only weapon. She could not spend one more day without hers. She needed them to fight, to defend herself, to show everyone she wasn't someone they could easily take down. Her pride, her strength, her persona-- it all depended on it. It might sound sad or ridiculous to some people, but it is because they do not understand. These wooden ones... they were simply an insult to everything she had built. An insult to all the hardships, an insult to all her knowledge. She had not spend all those months learning by herself the mechanics of the hextech, developing her own software, creating her own mechanisms to be stripped off them so easily. She would not allow some group of strangers come and rip her off of what was her biggest pride.
The store she had been told of was huge. Piles and piles of different materials for every kind of need-- it was like heaven. Nothing she had ever seen in Piltover. There were no fancy stuff like this over there.
She took her time, going through every shelf, looking at all the things they offered. God, she indeed missed it all. The price of the things, however-- well, let's say the Big Things of her project would have to be put on hold. The only thing she could do was to gather the basics. She went through the shelves, gathering everything she needed with ease. When she was almost done, however, she realized there was still one thing she was missing, something she could use to burn the sheets of metal and fuse them together. It took her some time to find them, considering the store was incredibly huge. She approached the stall and grabbed one-- perfect. Good brand, cheap as well. She was about to turn around when she head someone speaking. Looking around, she saw no one. She was starting to think she had gone crazy when she spotted a light brown bunch of hair just below her line of vision. Ah, so there it was. Vi practically towered in front of the little girl, she had been too distracted to see her when approaching and had a hard time figuring out she was there to begin with. She seemed to had been staring at her for quite a while too, because it was clear in her face she was still gathering the courage to speak to her.
"Hm?" Was all she said, wondering what did she have to tell her. It seemed odd for her to be in such a place as well, considering how petite and... feminine she looked. She seemed to fit better at a tea party than a shop. When she spoke, with a very soft and high-pitched voice, she finally understood what was all about. The thing is, Vi had not been speaking at all. Considering how much ti seemed the little girl had struggled to let out the words, Vi had to burst her bubble and tell her she had been wrong.
"Ah no, little girl, you're confused. I never said anything to you. Maybe you head someone else speaking and got mistaken?"

firmaverunt:
” ** Ah! Both, both! ** ” Nina was a little, flustered mess. If Nicolas or Worrick were here, they’d certainly make fun of her for being so easily frazzled. Though, it’d be in good nature, of course.
” ** I’d love that very much! Though, I’m not sure Dr. Theo or the others would approve. Maybe when I’m older? ** ” She giggled softly, trying to imagine her, rather odd, family’s reaction to her one day suddenly having bright coloured hair. What a surprise that would be. ” ** I’m Nina, by the way. ** ”
The little girl's reaction caused her to giggle sightly. Vi was not used to interact with someone that young, it forced her to be a little bit more careful of her words. She had always considered to have kids around a hassle, but with this particular child, she was more relaxed than expected.
"Well, thank you for the compliment, little gal!" As a way to show her affection, she put her big wooden hand on top of the girl's head, ruffling her hair sightly but careful nonetheless. She had taken the first step in introduced herself, and Vi noted how she started to relax around her as well. She seemed like the kind of person that embarrassed themselves often.
"Come on, little friend! Let me teach ya a lesson for life. No matter how young you are, your body is yours only. If ya want to dye your hair like a rainbow, go ahead. Ya don't need anyone's approval. I've had this hair since I was 7 years old, still rockin' it!" She said, pointing at her hair with her index finger.
"Pink or purple would look great on you. I'm Vi, by the way."
"Valentine's day?" *munch munch*
"Who the fuck cares."
way of the fist(s) / kid & vi
Infested, the entire sector was infested with a bunch of nameless nobodies, staggering around, living their mundane lives. hardly anything to glance at, a yawn threatened to curl off the tip of his tongue. they were all so spineless, their blissful and carefree expressions peeved kid, they were easily accepting this shitty way of living.. being imprisoned and doing absolutely nothing about it. a low growl ripped from the pirate’s throat, nose crinkled in sheer disgust as he pivoted on his heel.
That was, until a weight collided into him, though he held his ground— not budging at all.
"Watch where the hell you’re——…" Before he lashed out on the poor sack, he couldn’t help but notice she was different from the rest of these cowards flocking around them. She stood out, unlike the rest of these wimps. Sizing her up, a smirk curled against his painted lips, gaze fixated on her wooden gauntlets.
Ain’t this an interesting development..
"Hey, you. Those things for show or what?"
You see, to her going around in big ass metal fists wasn't a problem. She was already way too used to them, no matter how different you shaped them. It was her trademark, her weapon, already a part of her. However, once she got into this stupid city they had them replaced with something that looked the same (figuratively speaking, as they were still brown instead of silver) but was entirely different. She had been amputated-- and now, with their replacement, she didn't know how to maneuver. She was even clumsy, dropping things because of the lack of gripping ability these wooden gauntlets had. It was a disaster.
The scientist also thought that her weapons were bigger than what they actually were-- because the things they had given here were at least twice their actual size. Which also made things worse, because she wasn't able to measure correctly whether she fit or not.... and she usually didn't. Which is why she ended up colliding with that stranger.
He obviously didn't like that, because when he turned around, he could see the irritation radiating from him. He even started speaking-- which, had he continued, she would have cut him off and put him in his place because oh no, nobody talked to her like that.
"For show? Ha, you wish! I can punch yer life outta you and back, sunshine."
"They can’t make me marry someone I don’t want to marry." He said simply, crossing his arms over his chest slowly. The fact that he didn’t believe his own words was enough to make him even a little bit nervous that something like that would happen in the first place. His brow furrowed a bit.
"Why are we even talking about this? They could do a lot worse to this city than that. The point is that they need to be taken down. Regardless of what they plan to do." He muttered dully. He didn’t want to say that he’d be the one to do it… he didn’t need anyone shouldering themselves into his life, trying to become his allies. He was trying to do this alone. As much as he could, anyway.
Vi shrugged at his negation. "Deny it all you want. The fellas created an entire city-- they can do anythin'. And trust me, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to pull some prank on all of us and do stupid shit like that." It was true though, why were they talking about something so stupid? 'guess they both got caught up in the moment. Vi hardly ever found someone she could talk so relaxedly with.. usually everyone around her was her enemy.
She looked up to the sky-- it was strangely pretty that evening. It was still early, but you could see tint and bits of orange and pink. The skies of her homeland were usually tinted in a weird, dark ocher. After a few moments, she gazed down at him again, thinking maybe she had been absentminded for too long. Her eyebrow shot upwards at his words. "Taken down? By who?"
This was so embarrassing. He never thought he’d be in a situation like this. At least not against his will. His eyes narrowed and his eyes shifted around slowly as they moved, trying to get a glimpse of people in the area but finding that none of them really looked all that suspicious. Aside from, well, everybody. Everyone was wearing a mask, after all. It was difficult for him not to suspect everybody.
"…I’m watching out for… the people that brought us all here. It’s a big event so… I figured they might make an appearance." He said quietly in hopes that nobody else would be able to hear. "But with so many people wearing masks…" He trailed off, his brow furrowing in frustration. This entire event was just stupid. The dancing, the crowd, everything about it made him not want to be here. Yet here he stood. For his goal.
"Both." He said bluntly, "I don’t try to charm women. I don’t care about things like that. And why would I want to charm you, anyway?" He sighed softly, continuing to move in rhythm with the music, his body swaying just slightly with each movement she made, being careful not to step on her feet and being extra careful not to allow her to step on his.
Ah. Everything made sense now, the fact someone like him would decide to come to here. It kind of surprised her, honestly, as she did not expect such a young person to have these kinds of thoughts. His desire for some kind of revenge-- or so, Vi was sure that's why he wanted to find them-- were not feelings proper of a child, because he was still one, no matter how rude or mature he acted.
The pink haired woman sighed, unable to find proper words for a moment, something unusual for her. She didn't want him to feel as if he was making fun of his statement but brief is the time she had spent here, yet she knew there was no way he would even scratch them. The scientist seemed... Too secure about his invention, too happy with the results. It was all just a game for them, it was nearly perverse. Scratch that, it was perverse. She had yet to see an intervention from them in anything, in fact she wondered if they even made slight contact with their "specimens". Maybe they didn't care enough, or everything was just insignificant to them, even death.
"And why are ya doing so, boy? Looking for them, I mean. Does it have a purpose? Are you pretending to find a way home?" She wanted to laugh, but instead just shook her head. "I've been here briefly, got that, I don't know half of the things that happen here, hell yeah-- but one thing is for sure, nothing you do will work. Sorry to burst yer bubble, but finding them won't do a thing."
"Think 'bout it. If finding them did anything, anything at all, this place would have been dust already. How many people have tried it before? Probably lots. They're still here, we're here-- means it didn't work." It felt weird saying those words, as if she had stayed here for a long time. It probably had to do with her being so intuitive, so used to think like bad guys.
The music continued on the background, they kept moving to it's rhythm even though neither of them was paying any attention at this point. She did see something from the corner of her eye that caught her attention, so she decided to do it as well as a way to ease some tension. It wouldn't work, probably, as it would most likely piss him off.
So she separated from him, and with their joined hands, twisted him around so he could do a quick 360° turn, then put them back on their original positions, smiling all along. "Sorry 'bout that, wanted to do it but I'm too tall for ya, so I switched the roles. 'Kinda surprised to hear such a young boy doesn't care for women, there might as well be at least one, no? Ah, you'll try to charm me because I'm me, of course," she ended the sentence with a wink, trying to get a reaction out of him.
This is not Piltover {ca-intro}
"they probably don’t care." What, she couldn’t see sleeping quarters? Yeah, probably couldn’t see the outer walls, either. All the Sectors were big, and so were their districts. he had no idea what else she was expecting.
Still, Cloud stepped out of the elevator. He might as well earn himself a tiny amount of favor back. “Let me see what I can find.”
He stepped aside, so she wasn’t in his way, and looked around for something suitable. Tall and sturdy, lots of those; safe-looking, not quite as much. There, that giant green thing should do. Looked just like a an ordinary tree, but with just a gigantic, fibrous stalk instead of bark. (and with bright blue leaves, but he wouldn’t be getting near those.)
He drew Vigilante, picked a spot some fifteen feet up, and jumped. The tree was a solid twenty-something feet away, so it more of a vertical jump than horizontal. Shame; horizontals were a bit easier, in his opinion. Oh well. Just before he passed by, he whirled int he air, planted Vigilant around a foot or so into the trunk, and held onto the handle. After that, he just let his momentum push him into a flip, and let go; he went up, and came down, and landed right on top of the blade.
Came pretty close to pulling a muscle, but he was fine.
From his new vantage point, he had a pretty good look at the area around them. And there - a glint of metal, almost completely hidden by purple-green leaves. Looking in that area - yes, there were bits of it visible for quite a distance in either direction.
"That way," he said, pointing. towards the nearest bit of visible metal. "Some kind of building over there. Can’t see a door."
Vi absolutely hated feeling helpless, feeling like she couldn't do things on her own. Her gauntlets were useless, there was nothing she could do with them so jumping or maneuvering around on her own turned to be more of a hassle. She simply stood there, looking at the man that was aiding her. She would have found the way with or without him, but she preferred the fastest way. The man drew a sword-- ah, so you could get weapons here. She didn't know if it was originally his, before coming it, or he had gotten it forged somewhere. She hoped the two things could be possible-- for you to get back your weapons or create a new ones. She was good with either option, she just wanted a weapon one way or the other.
Watching him do all of that just to know where they were made her wonder a little about what kind of person he was, how he managed in battle. As much as she had fought with so many different people, he wasn't from her world, as crazy as it sounded. If he had been from her universe, she would have known. Oh yes, she would. She hunted down people like him. She battled people like him. He wouldn't have gone invisible, not with such obvious abilities.
"Showing off, are we," Vi commented, rising an eyebrow at him as she approached where he was standing, and then proceed to look at the direction he was pointing. "Would've been surprised if you had seen a door from that height, in this distance. A building will always have a way in... If not, we can always make our own doors. Commin' with me or not? Just wondering."
Ahh... Hello there... I know I've disappeared for a couple of days and that is due personal circumstances that have made it impossible for me to roleplay or even remotely look at the dashboard. I already requested a hiatus, but since right now I have a few spare time, I'll try to do the replies I owe.
Pretty much all of my threads are ball related, so I'm sorry if it's extremely late as the event ended a while ago. If you do not wish to continue them and would rather for me to think about some other way our characters could interact, let me know! Or if you wish to drop the interaction altogether, it's fine as well.
I'm sure my situation will be fixed shortly, so if there is someone who would wants to interact with Vi, let me know as well and once I get a chance, I will post an open for you.
That's it! I'm so, so sorry for the delay and inactivity, I will get back on my feet soon.

heyo cittazens! just a note on the current topic of the dash. i’m not sure about some of the other women here, but being female myself, i find it incredibly uncomfortable. the objectification of women is a real issue in our society and it kind of sickens me to see it in a place like this, where i come to enjoy myself. so, please, be aware that it can be extremely uncomfortable to many people here, especially females. you guys out there might think it’s funny, but to us, who have to deal with it every day, it really isn’t.

That sets Ariadne into her own peals of laughter, and she gives Vi’s hand a faint squeeze as she tugs her into place on the dance floor.
”Well alright then— guess we’re wingin’ it!” Her real wings give a flick at the joke, and she sets Vi’s hand at her waist, taking the other in her hand as she sets her free hand on her shoulder. ”Alright, this is gonna be a fast one— left foot forward first on my count, okay? One, two-three…”
It took her a bit for Vi to catch the joke, she was so busy looking at her companion's face and attire, which was absolutely stunning. From the corner of her eyes she saw something white flicker, and that's when she took note of her wings. They were small and permanently attached to her back. It was something new to her, fascinating and rare at the same time, just like when she had first seen Ahri's tails.
Without thinking it twice, she interrupted her, gesturing at her wings. "Are those... Real? Can you fly?" She asked in awe. It was a little funny how she got surprised at things like that, but not with the advances of technology.
"It would be cool, if you could."
A Hell Of A Bad Start { Vi / Grimmjow }
warpathpanther
He staggered back, teeth gritting around an incensed grin.
A normal human would have been knocked off of his feet, if not for the constant flow of spirit energy that helped him upright, bracing against gravity itself. Shit! Shoulders hunched, spine curled forward again as he glowered. The blow is certainly heavier than any human’s; he can feel it throbbing and heating up across his jaw and cheek. By tomorrow, it would be a nasty bruise and a serious injury to his pride. For a furious second, he glances at the seemingly plain, wooden gauntlets attached to her fists.
Do something about it, he had taunted, after she interrupted his game of piling up police cars. Now the smugness completely drained from his face, replaced with fury as he clenched his fists.
"Who the hell’re you, bitch?"
"I ain't telling you who I am, fucker. You don't need to know. What you sure as hell do, though, is that you nearly crushed me and some other people with that stupid game of yours. Destroy whatever the fuck you want, I don't give a shit, but do it somewhere you can let other people walk in peace." It took her everything she could not to shout at him then and there, she was almost unable to contain the fury she was feeling. The ruckus didn't bother her, not at all, but she sure as hell knew not everyone cared enough for what one caused. If he wanted to call attention to himself, that way wasn't the best way to do it. It was just immature.
Impulsively, after she had to literally punch a car out of her way, damaging quite severely her wooden gauntlets, she went after him and threw another hit square on his cheek. She wasn't in the mood to deal with a grown ass man acting like a baby.
A few feet away from where they stood, a car was crashed against a store's wall. The front of it was concave from her punch. Nobody was injured, in fact, those involved had already left, but the mess was still there.
"You better clean that shit up." She told him, looking him directly in the eyes, pure anger radiating from her orbs. She gestured towards the mess with a small head signal. "It was your fault, anyways."
