I like to imagine that the young lady writing these was autistic to some degree.
A little 20th century oddball who spoke differently than all of her other, more composed friends. Teased by her classmates for liking Lovecraftian stories, which at that point in time was basically indie media. Perhaps she was depressed at times, self-conscious about how she didn't fit in, how she wasn't regarded the same as her peers.
But perhaps, just perhaps, she didn't mind. She took the words in stride, forged her own path, leaned into her oddball mannerisms and became someone who she was happy to be, even if no one understood her.
If she were here today, I wonder how she'd react to seeing communities like ours. Groups of individuals who gush to one another about the creepy, crazy, existential and of course, just plain odd things they find comfort in. I personally think she'd cry in complete happiness, before going on a quest to find some horror and Lovecraft enthusiasts to befriend.
And if she came across any individuals like her, who were scared to flaunt their own weirdness or indulge in their uncommon interests?
I like to think she'd give them a smile. Reach out her hand and encourage them to talk to her. Nothing is too strange or silly for her, she'd say.
Rather than distinctly male or female, the human brain is much more like the heart, kidneys and lungs โ basically the same no matter the sex of the body it's in.

You know what the internet needs more of? Villains taking bubble baths. There is not enough content of that variety in the media. I know of only three examples: HIM from the PowerPuff Girls (Tough Love episode), The Devil from The Cuphead Show, and Risky Boots from the Shantae game Risky's Revenge.
Those are the only ones I know of. And that is genuinely really sad. I want that to change, ya hear me?! I need Satan from ANTONBLAST taking a bath to be drawn up! Someone's gotta be with me here, right?
A new character has joined the ranks of my endless fandom OCs! Soon to be a character in a Calling All Villains story, I have some basic details down, and just managed to get a design sorted out using Heroforge.
Story: Allea was a superhero in a small town, always up to the task of helping people. Unfortunately, she would often get called to help with small, menial tasks, nothing big or life-changing. She wasn't recognized by many, nor acknowledged for all she does for others. Still, she put up with it, hoping to be recognized someday.
During a hero award ceremony, something happened that set her off. Drove her past her breaking point. In a surge of emotion she released an ice blast that hurt many surrounding bystanders. When she came to realize what she'd done, she fled back to her hideout, scared for her life.
She was crying, broken at the idea that she'd hurt people. She had nowhere to run. But then, the TV clicked on.
It displayed a phone number, with a message that said "call me for help" and she didn't hesitate to call it. When the dial tone stopped, she spoke.
"Hello?"
And then she was sucked into the phone.

Also! The outfit she's wearing is a standardized outfit that the CAV people gave her once she was officially inducted. Think of it like a hospital uniform, but evil.
Although not going by the term "asexual" yet, asexuality was spoken about alongside homosexuality as far back as the 1890s. Asexual history is just as vital to queer history as any other term and I'm so tired of watching us being treated like a new thing
Got curious as to their sexuality (my brain works in weird ways). I knew the Nonbinary part was true from the Stupendium game company trailer they made, and the tour announcement before that.
My first thought upon finding this out was the following:
