is that piece of media actually bad, or is it just not following the blueprint you projected onto it? is that work actually not good, or are you just demanding something from it that is absolutely antithetical to its themes, genre, tone, and narrative goal? is that story actually poorly written, or do you just dislike that it is not the specific things you wanted from it that it never set out to be, never was, and never is going to become? is it actually bad, or is it actually well-executed and you just dislike the story it chose to be because it isn't catering to your specific desires and expectations?
I’ve received a few (far more than one would think) asks regarding the International Baccalaureate Programme, and I felt that it was necessary to make a “master post” of sorts. This can also be applied to students that are not in IB, so feel free to read regardless of your course of study. I sincerely hope this is helpful. Enjoy.
Hey! So I just started the IBDP and I’ll be giving my exams in 2021. A lot of universities require Math HL for my preferred degree (neuroscience) but I really don’t think I’ll be able to handle HL math. Would it be better for me to do SL math or just tough it out and go with HL?
If you don’t think you’ll handle HL well, don’t do it. I promise you it’s a rigorous, exhausting, and difficult course that isn’t worth the risk.
I made a big mistake. I completely forgot to start him until yesterday. School starts in less than a week, and I have to have at least 2 weeks of data... yikes. Slowly learning to adjust, adapt, and accept.

2019 is the year of great beginnings. 2019 is the year i’ll be my dream self, achieve my dreams, & live my dream life. 🌸✨ law of attraction, work your magic. 🥂
We started Unit 2 in IB History 11 on Friday. I felt like I did relatively well on the Unit 1 test, but we shall see! I actually like the teaching style of my teacher, and she’s apparently knowledgeable and passionate regarding the subject.
2018 AUGUST 4 || AP CALCULUS AB AP calculus summer work is out of the way, fortunately. I am currently getting all of my materials prepared for my Argentina poster and drawing several outlines. I haven’t been doing well with my trackers, but it’ll only get better from here, I suppose.
2018 AUGUST 1 || IB HISTORY I took a few notes on the Argentine War of Independence for my history summer work. I typed up the essay already, and all that’s left is the poster and my Rise to Globalism notes.
After constantly being exposed to beautiful notes, a community of support and productivity, and dedicated people, I’ve decided to start a studyblr (after starting a langblr, too.) as a means of fighting procrastination and motivating myself to be a more productive and studious student. I sincerely hope this turns out okay.
About Me.
My name is Heir.
∙ I’m a 16-year-old, rising junior.
∙ MBTI Type: INTJ-A 5w6.
∙ Hogwarts House: Slytherin.
∙ My favorite color is emerald green.
Classes.
∙ I’m an IB student.
∙Courses: (As shown in the description and for the overall program.)
[HL]: Maths, Bio, History, English
[SL]: Psychology, Spanish Lang.
∙ Courses for Coming Year:
[Core]: IB History 11, IB English 11, AP Physics, AP Calculus AB
∙ College. I plan on double majoring in criminal justice and pre-law.
∙ Languages. Is it possible to learn every language I’m ever exposed to? Let’s find out.
∙ Traveling. Once I’ve landed a nice job and hopefully cross the border into financial stability, I’d like to experience cultures around the world and learn as much as I possibly can from them.
∙ Reading. I think it’s pretty self-explanatory. My favorite authors are Elizabeth Peters (Barbara Mertz) and James Patterson.
∙ Learning. I like learning in general. There’s so much to see, experience, and know. It’s impossible to know everything, but I’d certainly like to try.
∙ History and Mythology. I could go on about ancient civilizations for hours if given the opportunity. Unfortunately, that opportunity has never come. Someday. Mythology is a side interest that I indulge in every now and then. I think it’s very interesting, and it’s easy to get sucked into it once you really get going.
Inspirations.
There are multiple blogs that I absolutely adore, but I’ll only name a few:
