(CHAPTER 5 SPOILERS) this is a smaller thing compared to everything that we've gotten, but the reveal that prior to chapter 1 susie thought kris and noelle were dating makes me crazy. the fact that susie could manage to think that has such Implications for the level of closeness that they have, even when estranged........ having outright confirmation now that kris and noelle HAVE from an outside perspective been viewing as a thing by at least susie is sooooo. augh. AUGHGHH

like, susie saying that on the weird route i get 100%. like yea makes sense since they keep talking to each other alone and have this strange closed-off closeness etc.. but on the NORMAL ROUTE? bro. it's still important to take into account what is probably susie's unclear idea of platonic vs. romantic actions, and also her being kind of blinded by her negativity & dislike towards kris specifically. but even with all that... What the hell were kris and noelle doing to make her think they were a couple. like. !??!?!?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just realized ralsei and flowey parallels

#theyre two types of players. they both know the world and npcs in it arent real (gestures to floweys genocide dialogue and ralseis darkners#arent real explanation to susie along with also ‘knowing the rules of this world)#both knowing everything that can happen inside the game and their world (flowey its because hes done everything and for ralsei its because#of whatevers with the prophecy) but while one grew bored with the game and left that circle of belief (cant remember what its called)#the other one still Cares about the game and npcs even when they know its not real#where one player plays every route and every option of dialogue due to the hunger for something new in the revelation that the world Isnt#Real and grows bored#another player does the same except they dont grow bored and crucially get scared By Changes if that makes sense?#like ralsei is the player in a creepypasta. he knows everything about the game yet things pop up and he has no explanation for them#its not supposed to happen its physically Impossible for it to happen just by the rules of the software. yet it does. and it breaks his#sense of safety.#though it doesnt exactly fit ralsei because. actually hey wait a second#is him noting susie is supposed to wear bows like. a previous playthrough thing for him?#he also asks if its really kris’s first time when attacking the dummy. and kris already has a save file before we overwrite it#like. i dont think hes in a timeloop multiple playthroughs situation. maybe?#because susie breaks that concept by existing. i fully believe she would just Not Allow for that to happen. she wields the white pen of#hope. and ralsei says until they see it with their own eyes that they can hope it can be changed#looks at that little joke of the card castle layout puzzle and it says if you havent been there you wouldnt know it#and how players on a different playthrough can easily remember and just input it anyways#and also how for some reason the game tracks if you have a shard on Each File? like theres slots for each file in each chapter not just one#. s. susie choosing for there to be no ending in gersons dialogue#eternity. how the apparent ending of deltarune is a tragedy#does deltarune end at all???????????????????? or do we create one for ourselves?#like i dont think deltarunes ending in universe is a time loop thing because i dont think ralsei has seen the ending happen#but im starting to think that we’ll avoid the ending by making it so there Is no ending. having the ending be up to interpretation#oh my god wait

Rewatching the finale and the "Zooble abstracts" scenario where Jax hits on Gangle still stands out to me as one of my favorite scenes. Partly bc I just love Gangle, but it's just so rich with implications and insight into Jax's heart.

Like, the other scenarios end in violence, with Jax pushing people away like always. But in that one, Gangle apparently accepts the invitation to her room, since she keeps the key. Jax makes a bid for connection, and everyone witnesses her success.

Jax who claims to have keys to everyone's room, denying other's privacy while guarding her own. Here she imagines casually giving up that power to Gangle.

I'm not much of a shipper in this fandom, but it does point to Jax having a particular interest in Gangle.

I think it's also very telling that Gangle says "I hate you." Something something Jax can't believe "I love you"'s but she can deny "I hate you"s. Her mother's love was always mixed with hate and that's the only kind of love she can imagine.

Sword Art Online novel remake where the only difference is that Kirito's narration is from after her egg cracked and so she's just reflecting on her past adventures and slowly but surely realizing the signs were there all along.

Entire narration is just brief moments of explaining context in between long segments of Kirito going "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, in hindsight this makes a lot of sense."

POMNI (24) 

The main antagonist of the novel, playing villain in everything that goes wrong in the book. She appears cute and naive like a child everyone loves, but to the protagonist, she is very manipulative, getting Gangle into harm all the time. Her pinwheel eyes seem to hypnotize people to get on her side. 

Before Gangle had been hired, she had been engaged to Jax since childhood. To Jax, she was just a childhood friend, but to her, he was her everything, the only one who she truly cared for. However, Jax slowly starts to hate her throughout the novel for bullying Gangle. 

Beneath it all, she is a broken person who takes out her emotions in the wrong way as her ‘father’ taught her nothing other than what will benefit themselves. The reason Pomni hates Gangle is because she thinks Gangle took away her only source of happiness, her childhood and only actual friend, who ends the book executing her. 

Meets Jax at the age of 12 and experienced love at first sight 

People think she went ‘abroad’ when she was 14, but she was really dragged to her family’s countryside manor so that they could ‘discipline’ her to be ready for her crowned princess role for the next few years. After she returned to society 5 years later, she was like a different person. She used to be innocent and kind, but she became hot-headed, cunning and gets physical with the maids (she doesn’t show it to the public cause her ‘father’ would kill her) 

Behind the archetype the novel gives her; her ‘father’ abuses her, forcing her to do whatever he wants. He hits her in spots that cannot be seen (e.g. under normal clothes). She can’t tell others as the King hates when his people ‘show weakness’ and would uncrown her. 

Has the ability to mildly read minds. She can sense when something is going to go wrong and can read people’s body language very well. If she wants to tell exactly what one is thinking, however, she has to concentrate very hard and it takes up a lot of time and energy. This power is the main reason why The Great King chose her as the crowned princess, other than her intelligence. Society knows about the power and praises it a lot.
