Of Manwe and Makalaure
*the following is just my personal HC and I have no idea, if it has any foundation in the canon whatsoever, so it very well might be AU as well:) It goes back to my previous post here and it takes place during the happy days in Valinor before it all went south...;)
I already mentioned how art would be a crucial thing for elves and artistic traits would run deep in them. Basically, they are like the ancient Romans – first thing they’d build when they arrive somewhere would be a theater and a spa (and a pub):)
Valar, being very artistic themselves (and in general creative), would enthusiastically support them in their endeavors. And the one, who would become most involved with this, would be Manwe. I like to image him frequently sitting with a group of elvish artists (musicians, singers, actors, poets, composers...) under a tree in Valmar and together they would experiment, discuss and search for new and more splendid forms of arts. Even young Feanor would enjoy visiting this artistic séances and would enthusiastically devise sophisticated theater machinery and backstage equipment to serve their needs. At first, they would all learn from Manwe, but later on, it would be them who would inspire him. They would never stop to amaze him with their creativity and works. And he would often seek their company and attend their performances.
Of all arts, Manwe would love music and singing the most (being basically the master of harmony of all Arda:)) and young Makalaure would be a frequent visitor on Taniquetil. Manwe would never get tired of his excited ramblings or his playing and singing. It would be Manwe, who would teach him the true fundaments of composition and poetry and Makalaure would later always invite him to attend his premieres and would even occasionally manage to convince the rather introverted and (a little shy) Elder King to take part on the productions himself – usually as an author/composer, but sometimes (very rarely) even as a performer.
And here are a few examples, how it might sound:
