“I do too. I can’t help it! You never know what might catch your interest next, you know?”

“That is actually one of my favorite books! I mean, I probably have said that about five or six books but I’m still just as serious.”

“Oh! I’m sorry I’m not a patient I just wanted to ask if you could check security tapes for me? A few books have gone missing and I’m a little paranoid about doing things wrong here.”

“A doctor won’t help. Don’t worry, they stopped caring a while ago” he said, as he looked through the books. 

“Now I don’t believe that is true!”

“I keep meaning to read Daredevil.. but actually I’m looking for Case Closed right now, um.. volume 10, it’s a long, and very uninteresting story, but I need a reference from it and my memory sucks so I want to see if I can find it before I forget,”

“Umm...I’m not sure if it is there but we can go look in the comic session.”

Alec looked to her and shook his head. “No, I’m not alright… thank you” he said, before looking at the books. 

“Erica frowns, not moving away just yet. “Do you need me to get a doctor?”

Erica gives him a small smile and starts walking towards the books. When they get to the medical section she shows him where the books on pain are. “There are several ones, so feel free to browse. But before I leave you to it I have to ask...are you alright?”
