drifter saying he's law abiding citizen who pays his taxes is funny for a multitude of reasons because

1. If the last city doesn't have taxes he's just blatantly lying and everyone knows it

2. If they do have taxes there's a decent chance he's not paying them or at least finding weird loopholes

3. If he's telling the truth, that sparks the mental image of Drifter doing taxes and that's equally hilarious. What forms do you use for your semi-illegal bloodsport?

bael/lume is so funny man. tf you mean i'm supposed to care about universal extinction part 2 when those two are doing liege lord roleplay across multiple planets and in my comms and are currently in the midst of a messy divorce and lume expresses concern that bael is now losing fingernails? which means he takes off his stupid leather getup around lume? and bael "every night i see your festering wound eat you alive. i wrap you up tight, put the eclipse from nightfall into your veins" ??? hello? and bael calling lume "my dear friend bracus lume" in his lorebook? [yelling over the cantina music] can anyone hear me?

I need to get back to this because the rest of the lore book is still not on Ishtar so people may not actually know, but I need to make some details known.

Starting well with "my dear friend Bracus Lume" but also the way he suspected that his father was specifically making up deployments with Caiatl to separate him from Lume and stop their projects. And he looks for proof of this but doesn't find anything. I'm immediately losing my mind, Bael and Lume are so well known to be spending time together that it was a feasible theory that his father was trying to separate them.

We continue with his dear friend Bracus Lume who has now been "terribly wounded" and Bael actually asks his dad to help him, but the dad refuses. This is killing me because like. His father runs Tex Mechanica, which is allied with the Vanguard and Caiatl, and he collaborates with Caiatl and her troops. What would be the benefit of refusing medical care to one of her soldiers that got wounded and your son is asking as well because they're friends? His dad did not approve of the relationship. Classic romance novel plot.

Genuinely no comment. Mighty pair. Sharpens their desire and their heady dreams. Okay. Lol!

Lume needs to stay in his healing tank on board the ship but he's still watching Bael's expedition.

Then Lume swore to kill Bael because he led his people into death, but Bael knew Lume would never do it. Lol! And then Bael is promising to heal him. And he does. Bael does heal his wound, he makes him the suit with Eclipse energy and also apparently dresses his wound every night personally. Okay. I know the tag would be full of this yaoi if Lume weren't Barant.
