My god, imagine being one of the Royal court in Cinderellas Castle. Your king is absent and uncaring, reaching the end of his life. Your prince is an uncharismatic manwhore who spends all his time trying to stick his cock in anything that holds still long enough.

They must have been able to get away with ANYTHING.

And then, out of nowhere, the prince finally manages to find a woman who isn’t repulsed by him and gets her to the altar, immediately after which she reveals herself to be a LITERAL TROLL, who’s mother is intent on enslaving and eating every human in the realm, starting with the prince.

AND THEN, just as you’d probably start running and screaming, the crazy Ashmore girl who babbles about evil stepmothers wearing other peoples skin and being forced to wear filth on her skin against her will (in retrospect, you probably should have taken her A LOT more seriously) appears wearing armour of LITERAL STARLIGHT and kills these three terrifying creatures that almost managed to take over the kingdom.

AND THEN!!!! That girl becomes queen.

The troll killer, the woman who’s allied herself with ancient gods, who openly wielded magic, who apparently DIED and RETURNED, who worked as a slave to three horrifying trolls who turned everyone against her and murdered her friends in order to flay them and wear their skin as disguises.

You would Not Mess With That Woman.

What are you gonna do? Assassinate her? She already survived a motherfucking BONE SAW

I already have a headcanon that Ella must have gained at least some Eldritch powers from her death and resurrection, but even WITHOUT that her whole thing was seeing past the façades that people create, do you think she’d let anyone get away with anything? Because I do not.
