Itt tekinthetőek meg azon munkáink, amiket vagy szabadindőnkben készítettünk, vagy csak jobban elengedtük magunkat a szokásosnál. Ide gyűjtünk minden olyan apróságot, gondolatot, ami a portfóliónkba már nem fért bele. Works can be seen here that we made in our free time, or just had more fun with than usual. A Duna-Ipoly Nemzeti Park kitörve a szokásos keretek közül nem csak pólóval, de egyedi, kézzel készült csokival is előállt látogatói számára, amihez volt szerencsénk nekünk elkészíteni a terveket. A pólóra 9 különböző, a nemzeti park állat-és növényvilágára jellemző ikont terveztünk. Annyira élveztük a tervezési folyamatot, hogy két külön stílusban is elkészítettük őket. Míg a csoki esetében egy elegánsabb, egyszerűbb stílust követve hoztuk létre a grafikát, addig egy nem mindennapi stanccal párosítva adja meg a teljes összhangot.

We had the pleasure to work with the Duna-Ipoly National Park, who came up with two unconventional ideas for their visitors in the form of a T-shirt design and a unique, hand-made chocolate package. For the T-shirt we designed 9 different icons representing the flora and fauna of the park. We had so much fun during the creation of the icons that we made different versions in two styles. First, with the chocolate package we had the intention to create a more elegant and much simpler style, and then we paired it up with an unusual packaging template for total harmony.

Hangsúlyt fektetünk arra, hogy a mindennapi, megrendelésre készült munkáink mellett mindig foglalkozzunk olyan projektekkel is, amit saját örömünkre, szabadon csinálunk. Időről időre valamilyen tematika mentén elindulva tervezünk, illusztrálunk, kísérletezünk, szórakozunk. Ezúttal nem gondoltuk túl a briefet, cuki kis karaktereket terveztünk, hogy jobb kedvünk legyen ebben a borongós időben :) In addition to our daily, ordered work we place emphasis on always work on something that we do freely just for fun. From time to time we make up some kind of theme and we design, we illustrate, we experiment, we have fun. This time we didn’t spend much time constructing the brief, we just made cute characters that improve our mood in this gloomy weather :)

Az utóbbi hetekben – csak úgy kísérletezés céljából – készítettünk pár játékdesign tervet gyerekeknek. Élveztük, mert a kisebbek fejével kellett gondolkodnunk, hogy nekik mi tetszene, ráadásul azt is szem előtt kellett tartani, hogy a karakterek minél könnyebben mozgathatók legyenek. Így születtek ezek a figurák, hátterek, gifek.

In the latest period – just for fun – we created a few drafts for game design for kids. We loved it 'cause we had to think with the heads of children to find out what they are going to like and we had to pay attention to the characters to be simple for an easy animation. Thats how we created these figures, backgrounds and gifs.

Újra lehetőségünk volt megtervezni egy esküvő grafikai anyagait, sőt ezúttal a lánybúcsúba is besegítettünk.

Judit és Adrián először csak a meghívóban kérte a segítségünket, de a közös munka során összehangolódván, mi csináltuk az ülésrendet és a menükártyákat is. Végül a menyasszony tudta nélkül, annak tanújával “összefogva” titokban megcsináltuk a lánybúcsúhoz szükséges grafikai anyagokat is (jutalom- és büntetőkártyák, valamint oklevél), ami nagy meglepetés volt számára. :)

We had the opportunity again to design the graphical materials for a wedding, moreover for a bachelorette party.

At first Judit and Adrián only asked us to make the invitation, but during the working process we got in tune, so we also designed the seating plan and the menu card. In the end, without the knowladge of the bride, cooperating with the maid of honor we also designed materials for the bachelorette party, (such as rewarding and penalty cards, for the games, and a certificate,) which was a great surprise for her.

Ismét együtt dolgozunk a Viberrel. Pár évvel ezelőtt kezdődött a partnerkapcsolat, azóta több matricacsomagot is készítettünk nekik. Elsősorban az angol feliratok magyarra fordítása a cél ezeknél a munkáknál. Ez egy illusztratívabbnak tekinthető feladat, ennek ellenére a képi részhez ritkán nyúlunk hozzá, inkább a szöveget illesztjük a karakterekhez. Habár a szöveg lefordítása és a vizualitás megtartása nagy kihívást jelent a számunkra, nagyon élvezzük a velük való – nem mindennapi – munkát.

We can work with Viber again. The partnership has begun a few years ago, since then we’ve been able to make a few sticker pack. We’ve translated the lyrics from English to Hungarian mainly. This is an illustrative project but we’re not really working with the visual part preferably we synchronize the lyrics and the characters. It was a challange to us to translate the lyrics and keep the visuality but we enjoyed it very much.

Egy újabb munkánk készült el esküvő témában. A tervezés fő motívuma a víz volt, ebben a vizuális szellemben készült el az esemény arca a helyszínre reagálva, ami pedig a Széchényi fürdő volt. A logó – amely a pár nevének kezdőbetűiből jött létre – több helyen megjelent, a meghívón, a menülapon, még a tortán is. A meghívó szitanyomott eljárással készült, mivel ilyen speciális alkalmakkor nem csak a látvány a legfontosabb, hanem az anyag és a nyomtatás minősége is. A szitázás ötlete úgy merült fel, hogy a pár beleszeretett a későbbi meghívó papíranyagába, ami nem engedett más eljárási módot. Az arculat egy letisztult, fiatalos formát kapott, illeszkedve az esküvő hangulatához és a pár személyiségéhez.

Another work was completed in wedding topic. In this case the concept’s main character was the water, the event’s identity was created with this visual atmosphere. The logo which was designed from the first letters of the couple’s names, appeared on the invitation letter, the menu card even on the cake too. The invitation letter was made with silk printing process because during this kind of events the most important thing is not just the visuality but the quality of the material and the printing. The couple fell in love with the fabric of this paper that’s why the idea of the cerigraphy came up, ’cause this material doesn’t allow another method. The event’s identity is pure and youthful like the atmosphere of the wedding and the personality of the couple.

Lassan itt az esküvői szezon, hadd mutassuk be egyik e témában készült munkánkat. Egy esküvői arculat alapja a meghívó, de a tervezés itt még nem áll le. Szeretünk komplett megjelenésben gondolkodni, ami magában foglalja a menükártyát, ülésrendet, ültetőkártyát, válaszkártyát, borítékot stb. Szoktunk logót tervezni a két névből, amit el lehet helyezni a tortán, ajándéktárgyakon, vagy a terem bármelyik pontján. Gyakori kérés az emlékkönyv, vagy egy prezisablon amit képek vetítéséhez tudnak használni.

A grafikai tervezésnél nagy szerepet játszik az ifjú pár személyisége, álmai, hozzáálása, maga a helyszín. A munka megkezdése előtt szeretünk ráhangolódni az esküvő hangulatára, hogy olyan anyagokat adjunk ki a kezünk közül, ami híven tükrözi azt. A cél az, hogy a vendégeknek kedve támadjon elrakni ezeket az apróságokat emlékbe, és hosszabb idő eltelte után is emlékeztesse őket erre a kivételes eseményre.

The wedding season is approaching, so let us introduce one of our work in that topic. An identity of a wedding is based on the invitation, but the design work does not stop there. We like to think in a complete appereance which includes for example the menu cards, the seating plan, the seating cards, envelopes, etc. Sometimes we design a logo from the two names that can be placed on the cake or the gifts, or practically any point in the room. There are frequent requests such as memory books, or a presentation template used for a photo slide show.

In the designing process the couple’s personality, dreams, attitude or the venue itself plays a great role. Before begining the work we like to get the feeling of the wedding envisioned by the couple in order to create such graphical materials that reflects on the event properly. Our aim is to make the guests want to take these small objects home as souvenirs, and looking at tham should remind them of this exceptional event, even after a long period of time.

Elkészült egy régi projektünk! Könyvborítók tervezésekor az a legjobb, hogy egy egész regényre, történetre kell kitalálni egyetlen frappáns, lényegre törő vizuális elemet. És mi van akkor, ha egy egész sorozatra? Ezzel kísérleteztünk az utóbbi időben és így született meg a koncepció Európa Diákkönyvtár kötelező olvasmány borítósorozata. A koncepció az egyszerűség és az állandóság, költséghatékonyság, de mégis minden egyes műalkotásba bele akartunk vinni valami speciálisat, ami csak az adott műre vonatkozik.

One of our old projects is completed! The best thing in designing book covers is you have to find one appropriate and catchy item for a whole book, a proper story. And what happens if you have to create covers for a whole book series? This is what we’ve experimented lately and that’s how we’ve created this concept for covers for the book series of a hungarian book publisher. The point was the simplicity, permanency and cost-effectiveness but we wanted to express the speciality of each story.

Gyakran dolgozunk együtt olyan partnerekkel, akiknek a szakterülete igen távol áll a miénktől. Általában mégis megtaláljuk velük a közös nyelvet, melyet cégünk előnyei közé sorolunk. Remek példa erre az Ex Forum rendezvény, melyet egy olyan cég szervez, ami robbanástechnikai védelmi eszközöket gyártó cégek képviseletét látja el. Ez az esettanulmány igen jól megmutatja, hogy hogyan működnek nálunk egy-egy projekt vázlat- és korrekcióskörei.

We work quite often with partners whose specialization is really far from ours. Usually we can find the common language with our clients, and this is the most useful one of our skills. Here’s a pretty good example, an event called Ex Forum, organized by a company which is a technical - and trade representative of explosion protection tool producers. This case study can show quite well how’s working the sketch rounds and correction rounds of a project in our studio.

Szeretnénk minél jobban elmerülni az illusztráció világában, ezért januárban voltunk egy workshopon. Mese- és vers illusztrációk készültek, és közben tapasztaltabb magyar illusztrátoroktól tanulhattunk. Actually we want to take part in the field of illustration much more than before. Therefore we’ve participated in a workshop. We’ve produced children’s book illustrations for fairytales and poems meanwhile we could learn from experienced illustrators.

Nagyon érdekes volt számunkra egy ilyen projektben részt venni. Egy osztrák menedékház megjelenésén dolgoztunk, és megterveztünk pár új elemet a frissülő arculathoz. A kikötés annyi volt, hogy az új design legyen természetközeli, nem szokványos és szóljon a fiataloknak. It was pretty exciting for us to take part in this project. An Austrian guesthouse’s image is what we were working with and we’ve created a few new items of the refreshing identity. The specification was that the design should be natural, unusual and should communicate with the youth.

A gasztro téma régóta a kedvenceink közé tartozik. Az alábbi munkák a Kotyogó drink bar számára készültek, ahol a szokásos alkoholos termékek mellett a kávé kiemelt szerepet kap. - Gastronomy is one of our favourite subject. These designs are made for the Kotyogó Drink Bar where not only the alcoholic drinks are popular but the coffee is too.

Könyvborítóterv a Waris Dirie: Sivatag Virága című könyvhöz. A fedőlap parafa és plexi rétegekből áll. A felhasznált anyagok között vannak puhák és kemények, amelyhez az ihletet a főhősnő személye adta, aki mielőtt világhíres modell lett, nagyon nehéz élete volt sivatagi nomádként. (igaz történet)

A book cover designed for the book Desert Flower written by Waris Dirie. The cover is created from cork and plexiglass. The hard and soft materials that I used tell the story of the main character who is a nomad woman and before she discovered as a worldwide famous model she had a very hard and heavy life in the desert. (a true story)

Miután megkaptuk ezt az igazán egyedi és gyönyörű meghívót, nem tudtunk ellenálnni, és elmentünk a Tradíció vs Újhullám letterpress és lézergravírozás workshopra. Nagyon jól éreztük magunkat, rengeteg új és érdekes papírt tapogattunk végig, az előadásokból pedig nagyon sokat tanultunk. Köszönjük a meghívást :)

After recieving this truly unique and beautiful invitation, we couldn’t say no, and went to the Tradition vs New Wave letterpress and laser engraving workshop. We enjoyed it very much, we explored lots of new and interesting types of papers, and we learned a lot from the presentations. So thank you for the invitation :)
