You don’t need to lose any weight at all, if anything gaining weight is what would be good for you, both physically and mentally. What you need to do after reading this message is delete your blog or unfollow all thinspo and become a healthy living and self love blog, and change your blog name and bio/header, and immediately go up to or call up a close family member or friend and tell them what you’re going through. Get them to help set you up with professional help (both a doctor and therapist) ASAP. Otherwise your future is going to be nothing. Because of lack of food, your brain will be in a delusional state not functioning in reality, and you will literally be slowly killing yourself. You’re not “lean” at that weight, you’re starving.

Honestly the best piece of advice I can give to younger girls trying to figure life out is to completely ignore men. I’m not being quirky or cute when I say that, I mean it seriously. Ignore men’s judgments of you, ignore their insincere compliments, ignore their half-assed romance. Focus on developing yourself. Practice your art, play sports, do theater, volunteer, spend time with your friends, but do not put substantial effort into pleasing men. They’ll be there for you to pursue when the time comes and if you want to. But nothing will waste your youth more than fighting for male acceptance.
