Endlessly diabolical how you can't say words like rape and suicide uncensored without either being criticised by idiots or punished by conglomerates.

The backbone needs to be reintroduced en masse because softening the blow of these concepts with advertising language does absolutely nothing but allow people unaffected by them to feel not even a sting of what they can do, prompting inaction.

And it's been proven that on certain websites, you don't even face a repercussion for using the words as they are. People just started censoring themselves because they feared the potential lack of views and likes and followers which is so nasty itself.

i appreciate that a lot of people under this post recognize this as racism and hyper masculinization / degradation of women of color but i do want to make it explicitly clear all these phrases being touted as lesser / more aggressive / lacking sophistication or “femininity” are all phrases from AAVE, african american vernacular english, this is specifically antiblackness, im seeing a lot of tags using the catch all of “woman of color” when discussing how this is bad but i cannot stress that this is specifically because of antiblackness, black women are denied their womanhood and made out to seem like ‘beast’ more than any other race of women specifically for having african features and for celebrating our own culture, this is called misogynoir, you aren’t hurting us by just saying black, pointing out who is specifically targeted by this rhetoric is important
