Working out is exhausting.
Okay, maybe that kinda sounds good. But I’d probably get bored.. without the working out and everything. Plus it’s not like I never eat junk food.
See? Well, yeah. But working out for fun is different than working out to stay in shape. So you could still do it, just not as hard.
Working out is exhausting.
Oh, well, I hate to disappoint, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen you.
Nah, it's fine. I tend to keep to myself most times.
Working out is exhausting.
Sure do. I’m guessing you do too?
Yup. I thought I knew your face from somewhere.
Working out is exhausting.
Mmm, well, thanks…I guess yours isn’t so bad either.
Thank you. You go to CU, right?
Working out is exhausting.
I’m not a fan of cheesy lines.
Well..sorry. But it wasn't a cheesy line. You do have a pretty body.
Working out is exhausting.
Nice to meet you.
You don't seem all that happy.
Working out is exhausting.
I like to think not.
I’m Beth.
Nice to put a name to the pretty body. I'm Ethan.
Working out is exhausting.
I don’t think I need lessons on working out…
But thanks.
I can see. You definitely don't need any lessons.
Working out is exhausting.
I’ve seen people work out, and that’s not what they look like.
Well, then they're not doing it right. I can show you if you want.
Working out is exhausting.
I don’t know. Hard work pays off. No work is for slackers.
Oh, come on! You're gonna tell me that it wouldn't feel nice to stay in shape while eating junk food on the couch?
Working out is exhausting.
Man, that’s just being lazy.
Still sounds pretty awesome though.
Working out is exhausting.
That was the weirdest sweat mark i have ever seen.
Have you been comparing them or something?
Working out is exhausting.
…did someone pee on your shirt?
That's gross, of course not. It's called sweating.
Working out is exhausting.
If it wasn’t, you’d be doing it wrong.
I'd rather stay in shape without having to work so much.
Working out is exhausting.
Eyes on the inside. || Cameron & Ethan ||
”No.. but it does look like a dude that’s overcompensating.” She chuckled lightly, lifting her shoulders in a short shrug. ”Why not overcompensating for his sexual preference?” She was only teasing because he had even started the groupie thing with her. She was so not going to go down that road for this guy. She eyed the VIP area, watching the slutty girls somewhat throw themselves at the guy. Pathetic. Woman like that were plain disgusting in every possible way. She glanced at Ethan as he eyed the scarcely dressed women and their actions and rolled her eyes. Typical guy. ”Oh, you’d be complaining alright.” Her eyebrow rose as she gave him a sarcastic look before shaking her head. She noticed his look of surprise when she asked if he wanted a beer. Ignored it the best she could. She was being nice, so he better appreciate the gesture instead of being shocked about it. ”Two beers!” she called to he bartender, holding up two fingers to indicate the amount.
It didn’t take long before they got their beers, and she took a quick sip of her glass. This would be her last. She couldn’t really afford to get drunk tonight. It was a mission after all. She glanced at the VIP section again, and sighed deeply as it seemed like security had doubled up. ”Maybe you should go complain.. this is useless.” She leaned an elbow to the bar, and started thinking. ”Maybe.. if he does have a gift..or is in contact with people with gifts.. he’d talk to someone with a gift.” She was forming a plan in her mind to make this easier somehow, because the way things were going they’d never find out anything. ”Maybe I should go over there.. and just try the direct approach..” she muttered, more to herself than to Ethan. ”I don’t know… anything to make this mission wo—” Her cell phone ringing interrupted her and she pulled it from her purse, checking who it was. Savannah’s caller-ID flashed on the screen and Cameron rolled her eyes as she ignored the call. She wasn’t in the mood to pretend.
"Pffft! He's definitely not compensating. I'd react the same way and I'm pretty sure I'm straight." Ethan chuckled more to himself, as he glanced at the VIP area once more. Once the beers that Cameron ordered finally arrived, he picked up his own and drank almost half of it in one go. He wasn't exactly thirsty, he just wanted to get that nice buzz that would get him through the night a little more easily. As he listened to Cameron's track of thought, Ethan started liking her plan less and less. There was no chance in hell that he would let her go there by herself. Power or no power, he was the most trained one and Cameron was still a newbie. "No. You're not going there by yourself. And don't even bother trying to argue with me on this."
When he glanced at Cameron, she noticed she was staring at her phone. From his seat, he could see part of the screen, which had 'Sav-' blinking as the phone ringed. Up until that moment, he hadn't even heard it over the loud music but he couldn't help but frown when Cameron simply rolled her eyes and ignored the call. "Everything okay?" Even knowing that Cameron and Savannah wasn't exactly on good terms, Ethan still felt weird that she wouldn't take the call. If Savannah was reaching out to her, why would she ignore it? Sure they were on a mission but it was a day like any oth--Oh...Suddenly, Ethan realized the most obvious reason why Cameron was in an extra-bad mood. It was her birthday. And she still had decided to go on a mission with him? Worse, she had insisted on that specific day. For some reason, Ethan felt slightly awkward just standing there. He couldn't just wish her happy birthday out of the blue. He knew exactly how she would react. As if something ignited in his brain, he reached for his beer, downing the rest of it before taking Cameron's hand in his and pulling her toward the dance floor. "I have an idea. Come with me."
