“Well thank you. I try and please.” He smiled, always happy to accept a compliment on his work. It was what he did for a living after all, he’d hoped that people had positive feedback. Especially since she’d seen him grow from angsty college garbage to a semi professional. “I don’t think you’ll sleep when you’re dead, I think you’ll just be dead.” Isaac laughed, quirking an eyebrow at her. “Besides, it’s the holidays, shouldn’t you be out enjoying it?”

“You always please.” She’d put her entire trust and support into him from day one, and Ettienne had promised that no matter how he had done, she would still be there. “Never have to worry about anything again when we’re dead, Isaac.” She told him, as she began to properly look through the photos, her smile never faltering. “I should, but I have no friends, and I have a business that I don’t trust anyone else with.” She told him with a shrug.

“You know how to flatter me.” Ettienne replied with a small grin and clapped her hands together as he put the food down, patting the space next to her she waited for him to sit. “Why do I have a feeling there’s going to be an emergency you need to tell me about as well?”

“Right then, breakfast.” Kieran took a glance at her walking before turning his head, stepping out into the hallway to give her some privacy. “Do you have a preference to wear we go?”

Pulling on some jeans and a t-shirt, Ettienne turned back around, running fingers through her hair she headed over to Kieran who’d left her room. “Honestly, I’m happy whatever we do, you choose, I eat anything.” It was true, she would and could eat anything that was put down in front of her.

Drew looked down at the cat in his arms that was purring and nuzzling the palm of his hand. “I– I’m not sure my brother’s dog is gonna be a fan, but I guess we’ll find out,” he sighed, looking up at the girl and smiling when she said she wasn’t too pissed. “Uh, yeah, sure.”

“It’s what I paid for.” She told him rolling her eyes slightly before looking at the cat again. “You could always put an ad on facebook if your brother wont let you keep him.” She offered, he was cute, but as Reggie stirred in the corner, it reminded her not to take in the stray. “How do you take it?”

Kieran shook his head gently and then smiled at the blonde. “It’s all fixed up. But I was going to ask if I could take you to breakfast, as a thank you for letting me stay here.”

Ettienne pushed herself out of bed and nodded. “I could eat a bloody horse, breakfast is definitely something I can get on board with.” She told him as she wandered over to her wardrobe.

Brody held out the coffee cup as she approached and then lifted it so that it was out of her reach. “Want to treat me to seven minutes in heaven and we’ll call it even?”

Ettienne cocked her head slightly and grazed her teeth over her plump lower lip. “I think I’d make it last a little longer than seven minutes to truly make it up to you.”

Feigning a gasp Suzy needn’t roll her eyes, the gasp was had all the desired effect she wanted it to have as she strode into the room and held out a cup of something strong and hot. They’d been friends for a short while enough to where Suzy knew where she lived and what kind of drink she took. “Good to know you’ll be there to resuscitate me. You missed our thing this morning so I came to see if you were dead or alive dear. See friends don’t let friends be found dead or unresponsive by strangers”

Ettienne groaned and rolled over onto her back burying herself in the pillows before opening her eyes and setting them on Suzy, there friendship had only been short in comparison to some of the others she had, but she held her in higher regard than a lot of those other friendships. Making grabby hands at the cup she was holding, Ettienne smiled a little. “I would resuscitate you in a heartbeat. Well I’m glad that you came by, and as you can see, I’m only half dead, not fully dead.” She replied with a toothy grin. “We can still do our thing, it just has to be an afternoon thing instead.”

Isaac gave her a soft smile, finding a chair and taking a seat on it, sliding the packet of photos across the bed. “I feel like they look amazing, but you can be the judge of that. I mean, you might need to sleep another five years to make a solid call, but I feel like you’re awake enough.” He teased, folding his hands in his lap. She looked half dead but it had been a rough year and he never looked any better in the morning so he tried to put that thought away, rubbing at his eyes and looking around her room a bit.

Ettienne reached over for the photos and smiled. “Isaac I don’t even doubt for a second that these photos are going to be magical.” She couldn’t remember how long they’d been working together, but she never had any bad things to say about the males work, he was spectacular at his work and she didn’t ever want to use another photographer. “I’ll sleep when I’m dead, I feel like that’s my new motto in life.”

There was a dry laugh that crossed his lips at her irritation. It was clear, and in truth, it was also mildly amusing, as terrible as that may have sounded. Still – he was at least a relative human being when it came to things of that degree and offered her a shake of his head in response to the question, ignoring the snottiness of her attitude. “I just wanted to apologize for not showing up the other night, work things — I’m sure you can understand.” It was about as genuine of an apology that Lennox was capable of mustering, his shoulder shrugging as if to signify yeah that’s the best I’ve got, “That was it.”

Ettienne folded her arms across her chest protectively and stepped back slightly. She had never appreciated anyone finding her misfortune amusing, she was also less than appreciating of how okay Lennox was with this entire situation. It had taken a lot for her to even accept the thought of the date, let alone talking herself into it. “I could have understood if you’d have called, or text.” Ettienne told him. “It was quite embarrassing actually.” She admitted shaking her head and looking away, biting her tongue for a second, the blonde looked back at it him and nodded. “That was it? Okay, great, I’ll let you get on with your day.”
