I owe you guys probably some explanation. I am going to shut down my rp blog. I thought I would have time for it. And I do. But finding motivation and inspiration is hard right now, given the state of the world.
I'm still suffering from all the health issues. And I wanted to give this my attention. But I cannot. I need to focus on other things. It doesn't mean I'll not find a purpose for this blog either.
And now, as I write this, I find out I lost a family member. So I think at this point, for now, this blog will be shut down.
I am so so sorry. I really just need to focus on other things for now.
I am home. Finally. I had the surgery Monday and was home Wed evening and have spent the entire fucking week in bed. I am so happy to be home. I am overwhelmed by emotions and pain and shit.
With that said, the quick biopsy came back inconclusive, so it's been sent to a better place. If it comes back positive or close, I lose the remainder of my thyroid. I am already seeing some positives in all this. But holy shit I am like... Ready for it all to be over and I can go back to normal.
With that said, I noted a couple tags. I'll get to those in the next couple days, pending how I am feeling. I would like to start reconnecting again. But thank you to everyone for your kindness and patience.
Food stamps may stop in November if the shutdown continues. This may be a good time to look into food banks, kitchens, meal trains, and discount markets and programs for outdated foods if you are depending on SNAP.
There's at least one regional org where we live doing a massive food drive in response, so we'll be participating. I'm openly asking anyone who can help out to do the same for your local communities.
Find your local free fridges as well! I would say all large cities have multiple now, most have instagram pages, but googling "city/state free fridge" works.
Find where they are and take your leftovers to them (unopened/not eaten from) like canned items you won't eat, drinks, snacks you didn't want, extra soup from your batch, extra oatmilk if you made too much, etc. Someone will eat the pack of Ramen in the flavor you didn't enjoy, and they will be glad they found it.
And if you own your home OR have a driveway/curb that's yours and a spare shelf/fridge/freezer make your own!
As well, if you won't have access to food you like or know how to cook use websites like:
Easy recipes using ingredients you already have in the kitchen.
I need to take time to process all of this. They're removing half of it. I am honestly exhausted and I need to come to terms with it. I'll probably reblog, maybe write, but I can't promise art or RP. I just. I need time.
Sorry I have been so quiet. Long story short, health issues are kicking my ass. Last week I had a thyroid biopsy after an ultrasound found many many many nodes all over my thyroid. What they thought was one strange looking one turned to five and the thyroid is swollen to boot.
So I am eagerly awaiting my results back to figure out whats going on. It's possible one of medications caused this, but it's messing with mood and anxiety and I have a very short temper. I'm not sleeping well on top of this.
So things have slower with everything. It sucks. I'm sorry. I don't know when things will get back to normal. Right now I'm focusing on me.
Again, I am sorry. This is just honestly a terrifying outcome as it is, and I'm trying my best (and failing!) to hold it together.
Copyright class actions could financially ruin AI industry, trade groups say.
Further, some authors may never even find out the lawsuit is happening. The court's suggested notification scheme "would require class claimants to themselves notify other potential rightsholders," groups said, overlooking the fact that it cost Google $34.5 million "to set up a 'Books Rights Registry' to identify owners for payouts under the proposed settlement" in one of the largest cases involving book authors prior to the AI avalanche of lawsuits.
If you're an author, please use this database to see if you could qualify for that sweet GenAI lawsuit money.
Millions of books and scientific papers are captured in the collection’s current iteration.
I have never ever ever in my life asked someone to blaze my posts.
But if you want to throw me some pennies blaze this. I want ALL OF THE AUTHORS to know that they have the opportunities to get some sweet sweet GenAI lawsuit money.
Like to charge. Reblog to cast that Anthropic will have to pay out the ass.
"It has been amazing!! So many people have come to visit. And I have been working hard to make this party a success. Although, Hakuro helped. It seems I constantly forget that my wings are there and get myself tangled!!"
"It is!! But, I wanted to at least help. It happens at Christmas, too, but I have learned to use my wings as light holders now. You would be surprised at how often this happens." He gives a small smile. "I don't like being a bother."
Here you will learn more about the main characters of this blog, my writing, etc!
All of this is under the cut.
Fortuna is the main hub that connects Earth with Heaven and Hell. There is a beautiful station done with Asian flare, shops, and eateries. This is primarily a base for angels and demons to come and go freely after the events of Armageddon that wiped out humanity, or well, most of it.
Still, some humans from heaven and hell came back to Earth to start a new, and most are on work visas with plenty of restrictions.
Around Fortuna, you will find beast men. Originally, these were the animals who had survived the end of the world. They evolved, becoming humanoid beasts who work, trade, raise families, etc. There are several small factions and then the main clans: Dire Fang, Shadow Paw, Ashe Mane, and Dragon Clan. These rule as one full government, ruling over the world itself.
Earth still has its cities and continents. They have big hubs like Seattle, Tokyo, Osaka, London, and smaller hubs like Charleston, Chicago, Renton. Beasts and others travel through portals.
Fortuna, during the war, was named Aerie. It was renamed after. The current head of Fortuna is Artemis, who is also known as Gabriel.
Artemis survived and lives a quiet life. Sadly, demons still try and use the sinners to create new beings in hopes of resurrecting Lucifer. Artemis often has to mediate or clean messes up.
The creations that Legion, the demon army that creates these beings, is fought by heroes. Anyone can become a hero through trust value. This is important, as the people need to be able to trust their heroes won't turn on them
Everyone is born with some form of trust value, but it has to be high enough to gain powers. Save for one person.
Akira Hasegawa. He was the first to be successfully created to be an heir to hell and it's throne. He wants nothing to do with it. Instead, he lived a quiet life until Legion began its attacks. He has fought tooth and nail to stop them and has a current nemesis: Ryn. Ryn is all sorts of problems.
Magnus is the other one that will be used on this blog. He currently ranks 3 on the hero rank. He relies on magic to combat the demons and their creations.
You can often find him studying spells, out eating (it takes a lot of energy!!), or exploring the different realms.
If he is not out and about, he is at home reading, cooking, or sculpting. He loves fall and art and tends to be friendly and open minded.
I was gonna put these as separate, and I'm sorry it's long. Just wanted to get this down until I can properly do what I need to do.
Hakuro sighed, taking a seat on the railing. His fingers tapped against the wood as he stared at the porch floor. Gods...not another war...
"Hm. You know, I was surprised to hear the news, considering I spent 3 years in Hell and all. But then again, I was too busy fighting my way out." He gives a laugh, but his amusement quickly fades away.
He looks back up at Artemis. "I gotta be honest, hearing the news from Shawn instead of you...it kind of hurt."
//Update: Haha... Dad went to put icy hot on my neck. Whole damn area is bruised as shit. No idea what happened. There's a long list of possible suspects.
