It’s sooooo interesting that they keep studying the topic rigorously and writing piece after piece on what the cause could be but they never want to address the fact that America is not a good place to have a child. Even though the birth rate is falling across the board, they have to find some reason to make it a problem of the individual, a matter of selfishness or distraction instead of a greater societal struggle.

I think a lot of people are pro-life because they know they would have been aborted, that is secretly their motivation and not actually a misguided interpretation of Christian theology or a belief that life begins at conception. They’re say shit like “What if your mom aborted you?” like, okay I wouldn’t be here, that really wasn’t on the table because my parents really wanted me and was on fertility treatments to try to have me. Would your mom have aborted you? Is that what this is all about, you wouldn’t have been born if your mother wasn’t coerced/forced to carry you to term and give birth to you so you feel like everyone else should be forced to give birth to their annoying baby?

According to my own beliefs, I SHOULD have been aborted. I am the product of a then 17 year old, schizophrenic, closeted trans boy, and a 37 year old alcoholic man. I would have been a prime candidate for abortion, and if I were to encounter a person in my dad's position, I would advise them to abort that pregnancy. My own grandmother has stated that if she were the type if person she is today, and knew what she knows now of what my childhood was like, she would have talked to her son about abortion.

To anyone like my Dad out there, its ok to want a bio kid and still want to transition. However, for your sake and your kids sake make sure you are financially and mentally stable before having a child, and for the love of God, don't have a kid with a person older than your parents. That person should not be interested in you in the first place. No healthy adult is gonna want someone in high-school.

I can't bring myself to care that whats her face from college wants to use abortion as birth control. 1, it literally is birth control, aborting a pregnancy controls birth, it shouldn't be considered any worse than a condom, implant, or pill.

2 we have 8.3 Billion people in the world. Who gives a fuck if Mckenzie from state university doesn't wanna have a baby before shes done with college? Or if Cameron fucked up in high-school and needed an abortion? Id rather them have whatever kids they want as fully established adults than have more broke families and poor kids running around.

And dont bring God into this, I dont give half a shit about God, and our laws shouldn't have a fuckin thing to do with your religion. Laws and medicine shouldn't be restricted by what some jack asses sky daddy has to say about them.

The refusal to sterilize either AMAB's or AFAB's is utterly ridiculous considering that we are perfectly capable of harvesting the necessary gametes from both sexes without surgery to reverse the sterilization. Your basic sterilization procedures aren't gonna touch your ovaries or your testes cause in a healthy individual it causes more harm than good to take away those hormone producing organs. Which means they're still producing gametes! So the answer to "what if you want bio kids in the future?" Is "IVF, duh" or "I dont want bio kids. If I find myself in a position where I want kids, I'll adopt."

I genuinely do not understand the hangup here.

Stop calling the crumbs shit. None of you realize how hard it is to photoshop crumbs falling mid-air via a birds-eye perspective. They don't just have 'mid-air granola crumbs' on google, no one has ever thought of photographing that before. I had to color a bunch of boulders brown. I had to find images of various boulders and color them brown, whnich yeah, when I say it out loud, does make it sound like a funny euphemism for shit, but it's really more of a light brown color and it took a lot of time and effort, so stop.

My SIL is having her baby and potentially having an unplanned c-section and im stressing cause one of the foods I planned on bringing her isn't hight enough in iron to make the cut anymore!! Ok so I was forced out of my childhood home pretty traumaticaly right? I managed to get some cuttings of the crepe myrtles that my family had planted in honor of my dad who died at the depressingly young age of 32 in 2012, I had thought that the cuttings would make it cause I wasn't able to get them in a vase until like 3 days after I took the cuttings, I wasn't able to get rooting hormones for another month ½ after I finally put them in the vase, and another 2 months after that I was finally able to get them potted (cause crepe myrtles propagate best in soil when they sill have their leaves). So unfortunately for my by the time I was able to pot them, they looked like sad twigs. The only way I knew they were still alive was by testing the twigs to make sure they were still malleable.

Today I found LEAVES!!!!! AND THE TINIEST LITTLE SPROUT ON ONE OF THEM!!!!

this is a vegetarian potato curry recipe that's about 75% spices; once you get the potatoes in there you can really do whatever you want with it

this is literally just pasta, broccoli, and cheese babey and you can live off that shit for DAYS it makes such a big portion

bro this spinach/pesto/3 cheese flatbread is so fucking tasty bro

also you can make the flatbread yourself it's super quick!!

oh hey I'm eating this white chickpea chili right now, much like the curry it's mostly spices and you can do p much do whatever you want with it

don't let the name fool you these potatoes are delicious any time. not just breakfast.

this is slightly more than five ingredient when you add them together but if you have time and really wanna fuckin treat yourself I recommend these chicken strips + this cornbread + either these potatoes or these buttered veggies on the side.

These are my two favorite comfort foods. They're very easy to make and dont take long to cook.

Garlic butter rice

Orzo mac and cheese (comes out a little bit soupy)

this recipe for gogumabap (sweet potato and rice) saved my life when i couldn't eat hardly anything for a long time. the recipe itself calls for a heavy bottomed pot but you can absolutely use a rice cooker and put the rice and diced sweet potato in together and just let the machine do its thing

If you have a crockpot, I do a really good pulled pork carnitas that is:

Pork - any cut boneless

Onions- chopped anyway you like

Orange juice - about one cup (you can use about 2 tablespoons of the condensed frozen stuff if you have it)

Root beer, pepsi, or other cola soda - about one cup

Preferred chili mix seasoning - 1-2 packets depending on how intense you like your flavoring and how much pork you put in

Garlic - as much as you wanna, specifically smashed not cut

Canned or frozen corn - to your preference

Dump all that into your crockpot in the morning (or the night before) and let it run on low until dinner. Cook some rice if you feel like it, or just serve over tortillas.
