I've never encountered this kind of content in the wild either (which isn't to say it doesn't exist, just that I don't know of any), and while I'm still figuring out how to write it, it is extremely important to me that I do.

A Comedy Of Strahd

Do not spoil the campaign please <3 So I am playing Curse Of Strahd with some friends, it’s been a blast just based on the first session. However we have managed to make this horror module into a comedy. Our cast? A very happy-go-lucky and naive fairy, Nectarine (me) A literal child, Raya A spider-person lovingly nicknamed spider dad by players and Fuzzy Wuzzy by Raya, Arax And our new evil overlord hexblood, Kazimir So yeah a very colorful cast And with that, here are some highlights of our first session

So one of our players does not want to escape, they want to take over Barovia and have decided Nectarine is their henchman. Fun :)

yeah so if bell hooks is right that “the essence of true love is mutual recognition-two individuals seeing each other as they really are" then aces and aros are lonely because we all recognize that many people won't even consider taking the time to truly see you unless you're in a romantic+sexual relationship. for so long society drills into you how important those relationships are that you realize you're aspec and on the one hand it's freeing to let go of all that conditioning and discover who you honestly are but on the other you watch people around you pair up and be so comfortable and get what society told them they would get and you sit there on the sidelines and think "what the fuck, they're putting in far more effort to know their partner than they ever will me" except its with fucking everybody.

i shouldn't have to choose between the human desire to be known and who i am. it shouldn't be like this but it McDo.

You know how I said I was gonna draw my other harbingers? Well I got slammed with art block and been busy so instead you get these sketches I did of my BtSL MC. BtSL belongs to @spider-lilies-if and can learn more on their blog.

Meet Aster, a very emotional child

They want to be like their dad so bad (even going as far to do their hair like his) but they aren’t great at it. They’re clumsy, easily frightened, and as stated before emotional. At least, as a child they are. Enjoy some shenanigans I imagine they will get up too and just general headcanons

They are normally very easy to keep track of. If they aren’t clinging to Aris’s leg, they tend to stomp around. It isn’t intentional they just don’t realize how much force they put behind each step. (they are on a mission, and that mission is to hug dad)

There is one instance they actually manage to be quiet... and that is when they try to take Aris’s furry coat if he is not wearing it. They know their dad can be very busy and feel bad for clinging to him 24/7 so they try to steal said coat when they want to take a nap or just miss him in general. (if the child is silent, mischief is commencing)

They got a snaggletooth (just like I do! I wanted to give them one and will not apologize.)

Aris’s suitors trying to earn Aster’s favor would not go well. They struggle interacting with other kids, so adults suddenly trying to interact them would send them running behind Aris to hide and cry.

They have a wild imagination. They gave Aris a whole speech on why he had to keep one of their toys with him at all times for a day. The toy is there to keep the weird adults they don’t like at bay. It’s simple, really.

If they aren’t following Aris around, they are with their peryton. They love it with their whole heart and very pointedly corrects anyone if they get any information wrong about their best bud.

They have absolutely stormed into a meeting crying to Aris cause there was a bug in their room. Why didn’t they have Ren handle it? Cause what if Ren was scared of bugs, duh. Dad’s gotta take care of it, no one else.

I could go on but I shall save it for if I manage to find time to draw them when they are older.

Heya everyone. Local gremlin out of my gremlin hole again to drop an update- This update is the entirety of the Chapter One Interlude! It adds a total of 39k words excluding the code. I had to rewrite a few scenes because my laptop hates me and made them disappear. I should get a new laptop

Saves will NOT work, as you will have to start from the beginning. This is just a heads up, but I will state this now; do NOT expect an update near the end of the next month. Chapter Two will be a big update not me looking at my outline and regretting everything but I swear I’ll manage.

Fey, The Harbinger Of Calamity My Elemental Harbinger for @fell-star-if! I absolutely wore out my hand doing this and it does not show. Now for a bit about them... Fey was always cautious and quiet, even in combat. They kept people at arms length (literally) , which only got worse when they were brought back. Shian is the only person they let in immediately, and they put any gifts Shian gives them in their tail or fur. That giant tail has to be good for something right? And with their beast form being a beast, Shian gets scary dog(?) privileges. They also refuse to wear anything that actual fits them, always a size too big at least. They had wondered why Death would not take them, they finally wanted to rest so why must they be dragged back? Until they saw Shian, and their mind changed first in a long time. They would protect and care for the child. They never considered being a parent until that moment, but they suppose they could thank that Templar for something... I will get around to drawing my other Harbingers (yes I have more, I’m a menace) eventually, but my hand needs a break.
